I ADMIT I FUCKED UP BUT EVERBODY FUCK UP...'Briana I am your mother, you do not talk to me like that. No matter how hurt or angry you are. We are not getting a divo-'
Gabriella was cut of by her daughter who raised her voice to her from the other end of the phone line. She was arguing with her because she somehow found out that her mother had asked their father to move out. She ended the call by telling her mother that she ruins everything. Bri was a daddy's girl and her father could do no wrong in her eyes and that was the root of most of their arguments.
'I cannot believe this girl hung up on me!'
Gabriella starred at her blank phone contemplating on whether to call her back or drive down to her school and teach her some manners but she decided on just going home to her boys and taking a well deserved warm bath. She did exactly that after making sure to prepare dinner for her boys and went to bed at nine o'clock before being woken up three hours later by her cellphone ringing. She did not recognise the number but answered anyway.
'Hello?'
She questioned wondering who would be calling her at such an ungodly hour and with so much noise in the background.
'Hello mam,am I speaking to Gabriella........ I am calling on behalf of your husband...... can you come pick him up or send someone to pick him up since he is highly intoxicated and will not be able to drive..... He is downtown at the Woke bar....'
She slipped into her sweats and a black gym vest which supported her breasts before locking her son's who were deep in their sleep and drove thirty minutes into town to pick up her husband. When she got there Byron was slumped over the bar table and reeked of very strong alcohol. The barman who had called her helped her place him in the back seat of her car and asked him to keep her husband's car safe till the morning.
' Ella,baby? Baby I'm ssor-rry.'
Byron spoke with difficulty as his speech was slurred and his intoxicated sobbing made it worse. Gabriella drove home in silence she was angry that her sleep was interrupted for Byron's childish behaviour. The last time she had to deal with a highly intoxicated Byron was in college and that time they were broken up too. She dragged him into the guest room when they got home before checking on her boys.
'Morning'
Byron greeted his estranged wife as she walked into the kitchen were he was making breakfast. Gabriella greeted him back and went to sit on the kitchen island rubbing her still sleepy eyes. Her son's screamed for joy and ran to hug their father when the noticed him in their kitchen. He chatted with his son's before they had to leave for a friends house and soon it was just him and Gabriella in their home with the elephant in the room.
' Ella... I just wanted to say I am sorry for last night, for disturbing your sleep. I know how much you hate that and for also making you leave out boys alone in the house... I am sorry if the is anything I did or said that was inappropriate.'
Gabriella listened to his apology and watched him, seated infront of her with his head hung. Like he was ashamed or embarrased. She asked him something that has been bothering her since they got home last night.
'Byron who is accusing you of rape? Is it your mistress?'
