Gabby noticed she looked familiar as soon as she walked into the boardroom. She was beautiful and darkskin like my husband but her attitude did no justice for her beauty. The girl looked to young to be messing with a man as old as Byron but then again children these days rushed into things.

' My client claims your accusations are false and the sex was consentual.'

Gabby caught the end of Aalam's statement as she tried to recall where she had seen this young woman before.

' Does he have any proof to his claims?'

Byron shook his head no then her lawyer said it's his word against hers and the court would definitely take her word against his. They continued to discuss how the accused has made the accusers life hell and him making her go through this just added to the humiliation. Gabby looked at her husband and shook her head. Byron shied away and kept his eyes on Aalam

' Are you telling us a million would make her humiliation go away?'

Everyone looked at her surprised since she had not really said anything since they started.

' no but since she's trying to spare him the embarrassment and humiliation of being dragged to court -'

Gabby did not wait for the lawyer to finish. Swinging her bag over her shoulder she said.

' I guess we will suffer the humiliation then. Aalam, we will be going to court.'

Byron looked at her like she had lost her mind. The young girl looked surprised. Gabby didn't know if it was because she would not be getting paid or it was that she supported Byron.

' The shit you put me through! I'm really beginning to wonder why the fuck I'm still here.'

She said when the girl and her lawyer had left. Grabbing the rest of her belongings she walked out.

'You really cannot stop lying! You claim to want to fix our marriage but you continue with the lies.'

Gabriella twisted the ring on her finger while starring at it as they drove home. She did not look at her husband as she spoke.

' babe I did not ra-'

Gabriella put her well manicured hand in his face,cutting him off. He turned back to the road ahead when the light turned green.

' I am not talking about that,I am talking about the fact that you have been having an affair for more than a year.'

She jumped out of the car when he stopped in their driveway, leaving Byron questioning how she found out. He tried talking to her but she was too occupied with looking for something.

' your dumb ass girlfriend sent me these when your affair started. I thought she was just some girl seeking attention and blocked her after a few videos and messages. I only looked at the first message and her profile photo. Then got a new number and phone. I should have listened to my cousin,he told me to meet with the girl but I refused because my dumb ass actually believed in you. I gave you the benefit of the doubt. I was so wrong.'

Byron looked at her not sure what to say,he wanted to go after her when she headed into her bedroom but stopped and went through the messages instead. He could not believe that Omuhle had sent his wife a video everytime they had their sexual rendezvous, that was accompanied by a taunting text. He was happy to have evidence but was sad that this was probably the end of his marriage.
