I'VE BEEN CRYING FOR TOO LONG...

Maliq told her to lay back down when she attempted to go check on her crying son in the early hours of the morning. Their son had been sick for the past three days and she had been the one mostly taking care of him when he woke up crying at such hours because she did not want Maliq exhausted when he had to go to work. He ran an accounting firm and recently had been expanding it,so she did not want him sleeping during important meetings with investors.

' love,wake up.. here's your breakfast. Lamin just went to back to sleep. I don't think he will be up for another two hours,so you'll have sometime for yourself. I have to go for my meeting but I'll be back by one."

'Okay baby,thank you for the breakfast.'

Jade grinned with her cheeks full of toast,eggs and bacon. Maliq gave her a kiss after she swallowed. She tried to refuse him entrance but he softly pinched her thigh making her gasp and give him access. The kissed for a minute before he pulled away due to the blaring horn outside.

' I have morning breath Maliq.'

'who cares about that,we ain't no teenagers.'

He turned back to look at her before walking out their bedroom

' uhm babe ... my mom said she will be coming to check on you guys later.'

Jade forced a smile and sighed into her pillow as soon as he walked out. She finished her breakfast and went to start on her house chores before her judgemental mother in law came.

' He is allergic to perfume,so anything with perfume in it will cause him to break out with severe eczema. I do not use anything besides his peaditrician prescribed toiletries. '

' No child has ever been allergic to baby oil. You're not the first or last person to have a child. Stop trying to be special.'

Jade huffed angrily,walking away from her mother inlaw.  To calm herself in her bedroom. Since her mother inlaw got here all she has been doing is criticising everything she has been doing and she was very close to choking her out.

' Mma what Jade was telling you is the truth and since he got sick from such products the last time we have given everything away and I hope it's the last time I hear you talking like that to my wife. I told you at the hospital that I won't stand for your bullshit anymore.  Respect my wife or you won't see your son and grandson anymore.'

His mother stood shocked,in disbelief of what her son was saying,to say she was hurt was an understatement. Jade felt proud,standing outside her son's bedroom,of her husband in that moment. Ever since she had met Maliq he has never stood up for her when it came to his mother. Good thing the six weeks was over she thought walking in slowly with a smile on her face.

' how sweet standing up for your wife,I wonder where that backbone was the night you slept with Tacia. I do not need to see your son because she's carrying my granbaby too.'

Mother and son jumped when there was a sound of glass shattering behind them. They turned to find a shocked and glossy eyed Jade behind them and the glass she was carrying shattered onto the floor. She kept her eyes on her husband as she slowly backed away when he attempted to walk to her to explain himself.
