The month of February was slowly approaching. My only thoughts were the fact I'd get mountains of chocolate and not know what to do with it. Maybe I'd give some to Lucy, she hangs out with me so she must like sweet things. Now that I think about it, Leo was going to ask Lucy something about February. It's probably not important.

I was making my way to Lucy's house with these thoughts in mind. I was going to drop Happy off and we were going to head to school together. I'd taught Happy how to take care of himself. The cat is a quick learner. I knocked on Lucy's door awaiting an answer. Then I had remembered I had the house's spare key and opened the door myself.

Lucy was collapsed on the floor sleeping. I stared in surprise at her. She hadn't been bothered by the fact the door had suddenly opened. I only next to her after closing the door and let Happy roam towards the sleeping Plue on the ground. I moved Lucy's hair from her face and saw how pure she looked. Too bad that wasn't true.

"Hey Lucy, wake up we have to go to school" I whispered softly.

She moved a little bit but still stayed relatively still. I began to shake her a lot. After a few seconds, she opened her eyes yawning.

"Hey Natsu" She said drowsily.

"What do you mean hey? Hurry up or we'll be late" I exclaimed.

Lucy got up clearly not in a rush and began to head for her bedroom.

"We've got 30 minutes Lucy, hurry up" I exclaimed.

"I'm going, Drama queen" Lucy shouted whispering the last part.

In about 10 minutes, Lucy was downstairs changed and ready to go to sleep. She ate a light breakfast of cereal and we finally began to speed walk to school with 15 minutes left.

"What happened?" I asked.

"Well I stayed up finishing homework and I had the essay to do so I was searching the internet for inspiration and I probably fell asleep" She answered.

"Sounds like something you would do, but seriously Lucy, you need to start getting proper hours of sleep, this could damage your ability to function throughout the day" I advised.

"Thanks for the lesson Natsu, I'll keep it in mind" Lucy said not looking up at me.

We made it to school late. We collected our late slips from the office, put our bags inside our lockers and grabbed our books. We entered the class and the class was silent as Lucy and I gave our late slips and made it to our seats. Their eyes glanced at us once in a while but the students focused on the lesson.

I glanced to the side to find Sting trying to hide a smile while Yukino wasn't even trying to hide the fact that she was fangirling. I let out a sigh of annoyance that we'd come to school late and tried to pay attention in class.

Lunch moved as slow as ever and by the fourth period, I just wanted to sleep.

"Ok children listen up, thanks to the month of February coming up, the school has decided to remind me how lonely I am by hosting a sort of February theme" The teacher started.

"What kind of theme?" A random student asked.

"A love theme of course, the trees in the backyard of the school have been trimmed to look like hearts so couples can symbolise their love by sitting under them, and there will be some couple meals being sold and plus you can act as sickenly sweet as you want with your partner" The teacher announced.

I glanced at Lucy and she didn't seem to be paying any attention or more like she looked like she could care less. I wonder if she'll have someone to celebrate the love season with. I kind of hope not so we can be lonely together. The teacher was explaining the rules about the sickenly sweet but I didn't really pay any attention as I was still contemplating asking Lucy if we could be lonely together.

"Mr. Dragneel" The teacher snapped.

I looked up at the teacher, a little surprised.

"This young lady asked you a very sweet question" The teacher told me.

"Oh um sorry I wasn't paying any attention, what was it?" I asked.

"It's nothing" She answered quickly.

"What is it?" I asked again.

"It's not important, sorry for disturbing what you were thinking about" She said quickly and sat down.

"She asked when you get chocolate from fangirls, do you actually eat it?" The teacher asked.

"If it's not too much, of course I do" I answered.

"There's the answer" The teacher said.

The bell rang a few minutes later and I rushed out of the classroom, knowing if I stayed there any longer, I would probably be asked to be someone's Valentine. I grabbed my lunch from my locker and put my books away. By the time, I came back to the classroom, Lucy was just exiting.

I walked to Lucy and we walked to her locker. She put her books inside and grabbed her lunch. I decided to pop up a question.

"Hey Lucy, do you want to be you know one of those friends who can be lonely together in February?" I asked.

Lucy looked back at me a little surprised. I looked at her with pleading eyes.

"Sure why not?" She answered.

I caught Lucy a little off guard with a back hug.

"Remember the boundaries for sickenly sweet" A teacher reminded us.

"That's not what this is" I said back.

"Sure it isn't" The teacher said.

The teacher entered the staff room.

"Maybe the teacher would have believed you more if you'd have let go of me" Lucy said.

"Oh yeah sorry" I said releasing Lucy from the hug, my face feeling a little flushed.

"So do you want to eat outside?" I asked trying to change the subject.

"No, too many people, too crowded and plus people will definetly be staring at you while you eat" She answered.

I kind of wanted to but Lucy would be uncomfortable with the attention so I should respect this. Lucy looked up at me and sighed.

"Sometime this month just not today" She said.

A smile formed on my lips as I gave her the biggest grin I'd ever given someone. Lucy and I walked to the library eating our lunch there. Leo hadn't come to school today either. We ate our lunch in silence as most of the people had relocated outside.

The bell rang signifying that it was time for the last few periods. We got up and switched our lunches for our books and headed to class. Lucy seemed to be pretty distracted the whole day, I hope she's okay. She wouldn't stress herself out, it's not good for the health.

Maybe when we get to her house, I'll ask her what's wrong. Yeah I'll do that.
