Natsu P.O.V
Monday May 5thIt's really stormy outside. I grabbed an umbrella and began to run to Lucy's house with Happy in hand. I entered Lucy's house, slightly wet from all the rain. For once, I was hoping she wasn't ready yet. She had been really productive and I appreciate that bit today might not be the day to be that.
Unfortunately for me, Lucy was ready. I dropped Happy on the floor and he ran over to Plue.
"For once, I was kinda hoping you wouldn't be ready so I'd procrastinate going back into the rain." I told her.
"Better to get there earlier than to get there later." She told me.
"Let's go" I said unenthusiasticly.
We headed back out in the rain in separate umbrellas. We didn't talk for the whole time as we were more focused on getting to our destination. I had accidentally gotten excited over the fact that we were close to school that I closed the umbrella and ran in the rain. I don't get cold easily so that shouldn't be a problem.
I entered school slightly drenched. My hair had surprisingly taken the brunt of the damage. Lucy came in shortly behind me. It looked like she had ran in the rain but with her umbrella still up.
"Couldn't walk into the school like a normal person could you?" She asked.
"Not today." I replied, giving her a wide smile.
I brushed my hair back as it was in my face.
"Be careful Natsu. If you walk into the classroom like that, you'll give the girls a heart attack." She warned.
I took a second to register what she said.
"Do you mean you like this hair style?" I asked.
No response.
"Lucy?"
No response.
"Lucy?"
No response again.
"Lucy!"
After that one, she left me standing at the doorway, confused. I walked to my locker and grabbed my items before entering the classroom. She wasn't here yet surprisingly. I placed my books on my desk. I saw a couple of early girls glance at me.
"Didn't I tell you that you'd give the ladies heart attacks if you entered like this?" She asked.
I turned to find Lucy in front of my desk.
"I don't really care about that." I said.
"Inconsiderate huh?" She said.
"Does it affect you?" I asked.
"What?" She asked back.
"My hair. Does it affect you?" I asked.
"Not really." She answered.
I felt disappointed. If it dodnt have an effect on Lucy, what was the point? Did I just think that? No I didn't. This never happened.
"I prefer you hair spikier but I guess this one is nice." She finished.
"It'll pop back up to spiky once it's dry." I told her.
"What's wrong?" She asked.
"Huh?" I replied.
"Your mood just worsened." She told me.
"It's nothing. Just thinking about something. Not really a big deal." I answered.
