"Kiara will you please stop pacing, I'm sure your father won't kill Kovu!"
Nala said to her flustered daughter as she watched her pace the platform.
"I can't help it Mom," said Kiara frantically. "I'm scared, what if Daddy hits Kovu if he says something wrong? What if he's going to exile him again? Or worst?!" The possibilities seemed endless and one thought over rode the other, increasing her worry.

"For King's sake I'm getting dizzy just watching her," whispered Vitani to Marisa.
"Does Kiara have it bad, she sure can stress about Kovu."
The very moment she said that, Simba walked in with a very excited Kovu behind him.

"Kovu! Oh Thank Kings I was so worried about you," cried Kiara as she rushed over to give him a long hug.
"Hi honey you missed me?" asked Kovu smiling as he returned the hug.
"Are you kidding me?" exclaimed Vitani. "She paced that floor like 20 times! She was so worried you wouldn't make it back in one piece, she was having a serious case of paranoia, she was fidgety and totally going bonkers."

As Vitani rattled on and on Kovu and Marisa were trying to get her to shut up. Kiara was just about to say something when Zazu, the king's majordomo flew up in a panic startling everyone.
"Sire sire!" he cried frantically.
"A rogue lioness is at the Northern waterhole!"

Simba wasted no time on getting up and alerting the lionesses. Kiara, Kovu, Vitani, Marisa, Nala and Simba along with three lionesses soon arrived at the waterhole where the rouge lioness was standing. Simba stepped forward, ready to confront the intruder.

"Excuse me but who are you may I ask?" Simba asjed.
The rogue lioness turned around and revealed deep  forest green eyes, her body  was slim, she had a bang on her forehead and her neck had multiple scars on it.
Kovu, Vitani, Marisa and the other former outsiders recognize her instantly. Marisa pushed pass Simba and approached the lioness, her red eyes were cold and threatening.

"Charise, what on earth are you doing here?!" snapped Marisa angrily. Kiara flinched and hid behind her mother, she's never seen Marisa so cold and angry before.
"Oh you know the usual," smiled Charise.
"Trying to make my brother like you again? Or are you trying to get us to do what you want? Which one is it?"
Vitani asked sarcastically.

"Neither actually, just here to have some fun. I was looking for you guys in all honesty, I've missed you," she replied  shrugging her shoulder innocently.  She carelessly ran her claws over her head and on to Kovu's chest. "Especially you Kovu, we were rather good friends in the outlands if you remember. Such good friends."

That one action got Marisa mad. Without much thought, she lunged at Charise and started to attack her with viscious fluid movements. Charise just laughed as Marisa attacked her, enjoying the fact that her mere presence seemed to aggravate her further.
Then after several minutes, Charise shoved Marisa off of her and put her paws in a X formation, the outlander symbol for surrender.

Reluctantly, Marisa restrained herself and stepped away from Charise who was smirking at Kovu and his sisters, a smug look on her face.
"Ahh that was fun, see you next time. Hope we can get into another tussle soon," she taunted before she turned around and bolted in the direction of the outlands.

Everyone then went back to Pride Rock and after some probing, Simba, Nala and Kiara learnt that Charise was someone Kovu, Vitani and Marisa once associated with during their life in the outlands.

"She and her family don't mean anything to us, really they don't" Kovu had said when he noticed the unsure look in Kiara's eyes. Convinced that nothing was wrong, they went to Pride Rock and continued to carry out their activities until nightfall. But Kovu, Vitani and Marisa, disturbed by the sudden appearance of Charise, stayed awake, completely restless. Until they got tired and went onto the platform, hoping the cool night air would help to calm their troubled minds.
