While Rafiki was inspecting Kiara, the only one in the den was Kovu. Not even Nala was in the den and she was Kiara's mother.
"She will be okay," said Rafiki getting up.
"Thanks Rafiki. I was so worried about her. Thank you so much," said Kovu gratefully.

Rafiki nodded and  exited the den and left without a single word. Kovu came on the platform, he was a little calmer than how he was before, but his eyes were still a little threatening. Marisa approached him and bent her head to give him a nuzzle, but instead of accepting her nuzzle, he roughly shoved her aside and walked off the platform.

He walked into the fields and spied a young, small, female zebra. He went into attack formation and after a short while, the zebra was dead. Kovu dragged the zebra back home and into the den. When Simba saw him coming he approached, though with some trepidation and stood in front of the young lion.

"Kovu can I speak to you about something please?"he asked.  Kovu dropped the kill and aggressively turned around.
"I'm so sorry about what happened to Kiara, please forgive me. I had no intention of hurting her, it's just that...I was angry and so foolishly blinded by my anger that I lashed out at you, and hurt you in the process," Simba said sadly.

"Sorry Simba? If you were sorry,  then you wouldn't have done it in the first place!" snapped Kovu harshly.
"It's just that, I  was so blinded by my anger towards you, that I forgot that Kiara loved you more than anything in the world. I regret everything," Simba confessed.
Kovu laughed bitterly at this.
"Oh come on, how could I have been so stupid? I should have known better than to believe the fact that you trusted me. You never trusted me, I never should have let my guard down!"

Simba was stunned by what Kovu just said.
"Anyway, I've got better things to do than to waste my time arguing with you, my words will just come through one ear and go out through the next. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got to go and attend to the one that I love the most in this world, and the one that needs me the most," Kovu said lowly.

Stepping around Simba, Kovu picked up the zebra by its neck and dragged it into the den. When he was gone, Simba sighed and walked off of the platform. Nala watched him go, a sad expression on her face.
"I can't believe what just happened," she said sitting down with her head bent low.
"Kiara needs Kovu at this point in time. They live each other. Why can't Simba understand that?" Diana asked.

"It's just that, Kiara is Simba's little girl, she's young and naive and Simba had always been overprotective of her when she was a cub. Kiara rebelled a lot as a cub and as a result Simba always kept her secluded at Pride Rock," Nala said.
"She's a big girl Nala, she's Simba's daughter yes, but she's also Kovu's significant other. He needs her just as much as she needs him," Diana said gently.

"Yes, I long for the day when Simba acknowledges that Kovu is a good lion and he loves Kiara with all his heart. When he realizes that, maybe things will be alright. Won't they?"
"Of course they will," Diana replied with a smile. Nala smiled back and the two lionesses hugged.
"Thank you Diana,"
"For what?
"For that little pep talk. I needed it," Nala said with a chuckle.
Diana laughed and patted her shoulder.
"It was my pleasure."

Author's note: Once again I apologize for the short chapter, it's just that I need to edit the chapters and I try to make it work so it won't take away too much of the previous chapters. I hope you understand the need to change it and thank you for the support as always. ⭐⭐⭐
