Since yesterday, your days have consisted of going over the plan with everyone, including bill's father, who wasn't there in person but was on the phone. Bill is now handling it better, but still not fully on board, though you don't think he ever will be. He takes his work seriously so you know he is focused on his part, but you still see the weary look in his eyes every time they mention you having to do something.
Today's meeting was about who's going to be where in the equation, and of course, Bill demanded to be head of the line right behind you. Adrian and Stellan both agreed that Bill should be at the front, which eased his mind a lot more.
You're currently walking up the flight of stairs in the main entrance that take you to the second floor. Bill is still with Adrian and Christo going over everything, and you weren't exactly needed anymore for now so you decided to go upstairs.
You make it to the second floor, and begin to walk down the hall, feet padding against the marble tiles. You're nearly at your door, before you hear a voice call out to you. You turn around, seeing the familiar smiling face accompanied by dark messy hair, belonging to Sam.
"Hey Sam, what's up?" You ask, as his tall figure adorned in all black walks up to you. "I was just wondering if you've ever seen the top level? Since you're not doing anything, I thought maybe I'd show you, if you want." He says, a shy smile on his face.
"Oh, yea sure, that sounds fun." You say, thinking of it as a friendly gesture, and figuring you need to take your mind off of all of the chaos that is soon to come. "Follow me." He says with a cheeky grin, motioning towards the elevator.
He presses the button and the silver doors open, and you both step it. He reaches over and presses the 5 button, ascending you both upwards. The jolt causes you to stumble a bit, and you absentmindedly grab onto his leather jacket.
"Woah, I got you." He says with a chuckle, steadying you with his hands on your elbows. Within seconds you're at the top level. The doors open with a ding, and your jaw immediately drops at the view front of you. The room is vast, and looks nothing less than ethereal, black marble floors and high vaulted ceilings.
What makes it stand out so much is the entire wall looks like it's made out of glass, giving you perfect view of the setting sun out on the horizon. "Oh my god, it's beautiful." You say as you both walk out and the elevator doors close. "Yea, it is." He says, as you both walk towards the glass.
"Isn't this dangerous though? Like what if someone were to point a sniper in here." You say, looking out at the sky. "It's bulletproof, specially made to fit this wall." He says, looking down at you. "Oh, I should have figured that out." You say with a laugh, placing your hand on the glass.
