Maybe you were a bit of a hopeless romantic, or maybe you just simply loved, love. Either way, your entire life you knew that love was something you yearned for.

So when a certain tall, green eyed man walked into the book store you worked at, your world felt like it got turned upside down, in the best way possible.

It wasn't like you searched for love, maybe you did, just in the wrong places, but you knew the moment you saw him that something was different; profound even.

He walked up to the counter, and you could smell the fresh scent of whatever cologne he was wearing. Your heart began to beat fast as you looked up, catching the curious viridian gaze of his.

You'd never seen someone so spectacular up close, he surely had to be a model, maybe an angel. "I'm looking for a copy of 'The picture of Dorian Gray'." He said simply.

His voice was smooth but rich and he had the type of voice that let you know, when he was talking, you listened. But you didn't feel like it was something he meant do to, it was just the way his voice was.

You were thankful for the fact you had been staring at his lips, which were plump and rosy hued, or else you wouldn't have known what he said due to how distracted you were.

"A classic, suits your look." You said with a small smile, crouching under the counter to grab a large book that told you where the books were and what section they were at.

"Are you calling me old?" He said, leaning in and resting his arms on the counter. You looked up, and your breath hitched at the new closeness, a cheeky smile on his face. You noticed the small scar on his right cheek.

"Oh definitely, you look like you're practically standing in your grave already." You said, your voice full of sarcasm, a small smile appearing on your face.

His lips pulled up into a grin, nearly showing his teeth as a deep chuckle emitted from his throat. "Well if I got to be at my grave looking at you, maybe death wouldn't be so bad after all." He replied.

Your heart stopped for a moment and heat prickled onto the apples of your cheeks as you looked up again, meeting his eyes. It was unusual, because usually when a man would say something like that, a cocky smirk would be adorned on their face.

But not him. He looked as serious as ever, and it made your heart feel warm. "How many women have you gotten with that one? It's very clever, I have to admit." You said, giving him a cheeky grin and a raised eyebrow.

He laughed, looking down and back up, long fingers fiddling with the cuff of his plush looking jacket. His whole outfit was quite neat actually, he looked like someone you'd see in the romance films, playing the role of the devastatingly handsome man who took every girl's breath away.

"I've only practiced it a few times, didn't have he courage to use it until now, I only use it on those I think would appreciate it." He said jokingly, giving you a wink. The expression that appeared on his face made your heart race even faster.

"Hmm, well, I'll keep it in my heart always." You said with a humorous voice, trying to hide the fact that you were secretly screaming with joy on the inside. "Section five row 8: you'll find your book there." You said again, closing the book.

He stood up straight, reminding you how incredibly tall he was. "Thankyou very much Ms..?" He said, the tone of his voice letting you know he wanted to know your name. "Y/n." You said, making an even bigger smile spread across his smooth and defined face, a smile that seemed to never disappear now.

"Couldn't have expected anything less beautiful, thankyou again y/n. My name is Bill by the way, Bill skarsgård." He replied, bringing hit plump bottom lip between his teeth briefly.

Bill skarsgård, his name echoed in your name like a song. "You're very welcome Mr. Skarsgård, if you need anymore help just let me know." You said to him. He smiled and gave you a nod, before saying "I will, maybe I'll bother you some more later."

He then turned around, walking towards the exit. You furrowed your eyebrows calling out to him. "The book is that way!" Pointing behind you. He turned back around, running a hand through his tousled hair with a happy, clever expression.

"I didn't say I was gonna buy the book, just needed to know where it is so I can come in and see you again!" He yelled out, responding to you with a bright smile that showcased his dazzling teeth.

He turned and jogged out of the store, leaving you speechless and blushed. You laughed, placing your hand to your mouth, trying to comprehend everything that just happened. Your eyes glance down, and you noticed a piece of paper.

You picked it up, unfolding it and reading "Didn't really need a book, just had to know who the beautiful girl at the counter was. Call me sometime, it would be an honor." The rest of the note had his number attached to it, and you had to stop yourself from squealing out loud.

Your cheeks got even hotter and you put the note in your pocket, running your hands through your hair in disbelief. The thing about that day, was that you never expected it to be the beginning of the rest of your life with the man who made you the happiest.

That was the story of how you met your now husband of 4 years. The two of you are lied back on the couch in your shared apartment, a soft blanket thrown over your bodies as you rest between his long legs, the back of your head on his firm chest whole he softly runs his long fingers through your hair.

The two of you are in comfortable silence as the fireplace next to you blazes with calming red flames, crackling and creating an even calmer atmosphere. "Whatcha thinking about princess?" His voice says suddenly;  vibrating through his chest.

You turn, looking up at him halfway. You feel your heart swell with so much love for him, you almost can't handle it. "Nothing, just about when we first met." A familiar smile curves upwards on his face, a look of nostalgia in his eyes.

"I can't believe I had the courage to even go in there, you're so out of my league, but you're my wife now so I have you for life." He says with a chuckle as you sit up and turn around, climbing onto his sturdy lap.

"Are you kidding? I nearly stopped breathing when you walked in, you're the most gorgeous man I've ever met, inside and out, so I guess we both got pretty lucky." You reply with a laugh, honesty in your voices

His long arm outstretches and pulls you closer to his warmth, making butterflies form in the pit of your stomach. You both look at each other with love in your eyes for a moment, before his large hands gently grasp your face, pulling you in for a kiss.

Your lips connect and you get that same feeling that you got years ago when the two of you first kissed. It feels like two puzzle pieces are coming together, he makes you feel complete, and he feels the same way; so happy he thinks his heart might burst.

It is in this moment that you know, you'd found what you'd always wanted, what you always thought didn't exist. You'd found a love like the one in the books.
