"Hi Joshie!" Tyler exclaimed as he ran up to his best friend, practically tackling him in a hug.
"Hi TyTy!" Josh yelled, hugging his friend back.
"Look, Joshie. My mom bought juices!" Tyler exclaimed. "I sneaked some out for us!!"
"Whoaaa! You're so cool!" Josh exclaimed as Tyler handed him a caprisun.
The boys sat down on the curb in front of josh's house, sipping their juices and talking about normal five year old topics. So pretty much just Pokémon cards.
But then, a girl came up.
"Josh's eyes are ugly!" She exclaimed, pointing at josh and laughing.
Tears immediately began spilling out of the slightly taller boy's eyes.
"Hey! That's mean!" Tyler exclaimed, quitting this caprisun into the girl's eyes. "Joshie has the prettiest eyes ever!"
The girl ran away, completely appalled that Tyler had squirted Apple juice into her eyes.
"It's ok, Joshie," Tyler said, hugging his best friend tightly as he continued to cry. "You have the prettiest eyes ever. They're super duper pretty. Like, prettier than Ms. Black at school."
"R-really?" Josh sniffled.
"Yeah! I'm your best fren! I wouldn't lie to you!" Tyler exclaimed,
"T-thanks, TyJo," Josh said, hugging his ear friend back tightly.
"C'mon, Joshie," Tyler said, pulling his best friend up. "Let's go play Mario Kart."
And so the boys skipped hand in hand to the Joseph's house, Tyler never stopping insisting Josh had the most beautiful eyes.
He hoped maybe, just maybe, Joshie liked him back.
