"Joshua, can you please come to bed?" Tyler asked from behind the couch his husband was sitting on.
"In a bit, sweetheart," Josh said, continuing to type at his computer.
Tyler sighed and went upstairs, falling asleep alone yet again.
When Josh finally went upstairs and crawled into bed, he saw the tears on Tyler's cheeks. He ran his fingers through his husband's hair, thinking he was still asleep. "I'm sorry, baby. I know I said I'd stop working so late."
Tyler sniffled. He was awake.
"Hey, honey," Josh said softly.
"H-hi," Tyler sniffed.
"You know I love you?" Josh said.
"Y-yeah, I-I guess," Tyler shrugged.
"What? Baby? Why do you guess?"
Tyler sniffled again. "I-I don't know. I-I shouldn't have said that. I'm sorry."
"Sweetheart, don't be sorry. Why do you feel like that?" Josh asked again, looking into Tyler's teary eyes.
"Y-you s-spend more time working than y-you do with me," Tyler said softly.
"Oh, baby..." Josh said, hugging Tyler tightly. "I'm so sorry."
"A-and w-we haven't gotten to have h-husband fun I-in three months," Tyler sniffled.
'Husband fun' was what the boys called sex.
"I-I'm sorry, baby," Josh said. "I'm so sorry."
Tyler just sniffled and buried his face in his pillow.
"I don't mean to hurt you, Ty," Josh said, softly rubbing his husband's back. "I hope you know that."
Tyler didn't say anything.
"I'm gonna take the day off tomorrow," Josh said. "And we'll have a date day. We'll do whatever you want all day long. And we can have husband fun all night long. How does that sound?"
Tyler shrugged.
"What do you wanna do, Ty?" Josh asked. "We can do anything in the world."
"I-I don't know."
"Think about it, ok?" Josh said. "I can't wait."
Tyler just turned on his side away from Josh and sniffled, pulling the blankets over his head.
"I love you," Josh said. "I'm sorry I haven't been saying it as much as I should be. I promise it doesn't mean I love you any less."
Tyler just fell asleep, nothing else being said that night.

The next morning, Tyler woke up to the smell of blueberry. He got up and slowly walked downstairs, seeing his husband in the kitchen.
"Hi, baby," Josh smiled, walking up to Tyler with open arms.
"H-hi," Tyler said quietly, hugging Josh lightly.
"I thought we'd have a pancake date this morning," Josh said. "Does that sound ok?"
"Y-yes."
Tyler seemed sad, and that made Josh feel sad. He finally realized how much he had been hurting his husband without even knowing it.
He got his husband his breakfast and sat down with him at the table, Tyler sitting across from him.
"Do you wanna sit in my lap, honey?" Josh asked.
