"Look at our little princess!!!" Tyler exclaimed as Ruby looked around confusedly. Why was she in an itchy dress so late at night?

"Oh my God, she's precious!" Josh said, kissing all over his 18-month-old's face.

It was Ruby's first Halloween with her daddies, and while she didn't understand what it was, Tyler and Josh were beyond excited.

She was dressed up as Cinderella, having the blonde hair and blue eyes of the princess.

"Are you excited RuRu?"

"Ah?" She asked, still confused as to what was going on.

"We're gonna go get candy!" Tyler smiled. "Doesn't that sound fun??"

"Oh, wait! I forgot my costume. Hold on," Josh said before running upstairs to grab his outfit for the night.

He returned downstairs, and Ruby began screaming her head off and crying.

"Oh my god! Joshua, take that thing off!" Tyler exclaimed turning Ruby's head so she couldn't see Josh.

The boys had never heard Ruby scream so loudly. Or cry so hard.

"What?! It's an alien mask!"

"It's scarring her for life!"

"Fine," Josh groaned, slipping the mask off his head. "There."

"My God, Joshua," Tyler said, shaking his head as he bounced the screaming and crying baby.

"It's okay, RuRu. Daddy took the scary mask off. It's okay," he said, kissing the top of her head.

"If she's my kid, she needs to be exposed to aliens at a young age."

"Aliens don't even exist! And she's not even two!"

"You take that back!" Josh gasped, extremely offended his husband would say such a thing. "Aliens are real!"

"We are not having this argument again," Tyler said, holding Ruby tightly as she held onto him the best she could with her weak little arms. "You can look now, RuRu. Daddy isn't scary anymore. He's still crazy, though."

Josh stuck his tongue out at Tyler before taking Ruby into his arms, the baby not having any problem with it since he didn't have the scary mask on.

"Aliens are real, RuRu. Don't let TyTy tell you any different."

Over all, it was just a confusing night for Ruby. She was outside in the dark, wearing an itchy but sparkly dress, her TyTy had on a cape, her JishJish turned into some weird green monster for a couple of minutes. Nothing made sense.

Josh carried Ruby around, following Tyler. It turned out Ruby wasn't a big fan of going to the doors for candy, so about three houses in, the boys just took her to Target and picked up a big variety bag of candy for them to share.

They headed home and snuggled up on the couch, all snacking away at the candy as they watched Finding Dory since Ruby wasn't a big fan of spooky kids movies just yet.

She did, however, really like Reese's cups.

"You're definitely our kid," Tyler giggled as he looked at how many wrappers the baby had on her lap.

Josh grinned and kissed Ruby's head. "You're just like us. Not really all that into other people, you don't really like going out late, you don't like wearing clothes that aren't pajamas..."

Tyler smiled and picked Ruby up, lying down so his head was in Josh's lap while he sat the baby on his own tummy. "You looked very pretty tonight in your dress, though, princess."

Ruby just leaned forward and grabbed Tyler's nose.

"Nooooo, don't steal my nose!!!" Tyler giggled.

Ruby then hid the hand behind her back and used the other to point to the last Reese's cup.

"Oh, so if I give you the last Reese's, I get my nose back?"

Ruby just looked at him.

"Fineee," he said, grabbing the candy and unwrapping it, handing it to her.

Ruby grinned and 'handed' Tyler his nose back after she ate her seventh Reese's with a smile.

She then fell asleep on Tyler's belly, tyler looking up to see his husband was asleep as well.

"Well. Happy Halloween, you two."
