"You still up?" Avi walked out into the lounge area of the bus. Kirstie jumped slightly at the sudden noise. "Sorry to scare you."

"No, no, you're fine." She laughed lightly. "Why are you up?" Kirstie glanced at her phone. 2:10 a.m.

"Why are you up?" Avi asked with a chuckle.

"Eh, couldn't sleep. A lot a bit nervous." She laughed.

"What are you nervous for?"

"I don't know. I just am." Kirstie shrugged. "Also, you never answered me. What are you doing up so late?"

"I'm trying to figure out this song." He sighed almost silently.

"A song? What for?"

"Just in case." Avi shrugged.

"May I see it. If you don't mind, of course." Kirstie smiled.

"Of course." Avi retreated back to his bunk for a moment to grab the piece of notebook paper he'd been scribbling on for the last however long it's been.

Quarter past ? and I'm feeling alright,
I'd love to close my eyes, but I can never...my mind.
Thinkin' where I'm going to and where I've been,
While a thousand other worries are floating in the wind

"Sorry about the blank spaces. I couldn't bridge those gaps." He shook his head.

"No, Avi, it's beautiful." Kirstie looked up at him with a sparkle in her eye. She interrupted him before he could even begin to talk. "And don't give me any of that "no it isn't" crap because you're wrong. This is amazing."

"Thanks, Kirst." Avi smiled an award winning smile and folded the notebook page back up.

Kirstie laid her head on his shoulder, yawning before she took another breath. "Remember like four years ago? Like when I first met you?"

"Yeah," He snickered. "And I said that I've never met a girl as shy as you were."

Kirstie laughed, thinking of how far they had come. "Yeah. Scott was the only sane one. Mitch and I were freaking out!" She laughed once more.

"Also, remember that night. The one after we won The SingOff?"

"How could I forget?"

"True, true, but remember how I pulled you aside and almost said something, but forgot what I was going to say?" Avi directed his gaze elsewhere in the room.

"I mean...yeah, briefly." Kirstie turned his chin back to look at her. "What about it?"

"I, um, remember what I was going to say." He messed with the collar of his shirt.

"It's taken you four years to remember?" Kirstin laughed.

"Kind of?"

"What is it?" Kirstie laughed.

"I think I'm in love with you."
