// morningthunderstorms and I are both "that friend" //
"Hey, Babes!" Kirstie walked into the recording studio for that day. "Did y'all eat breakfast?"
"I did!" Everyone called back.
"Good." She nodded and slipped her headphones on for recording.
"And what did you eat for breakfast, My Love?" Avi asked her quietly enough so that the conversation would stay between them.
"One more time, sorry." Kirstie took off the headphones because as Avi started talking, the music started filling them.
"Did you eat breakfast?"
"Mhmm, yeah." She nodded and handed Avi a pair of headphones as well. "Let's record?"
"Let's record."
~~~~~
It had been a seriously long day. Recording, editing, scrapping, arranging and rearranging. It had just been a very long day.
Nearing 8:00, the rest of the group was shuffling out, but Kirstie was putting her headphones for recording back on.
"Kirst, are you staying?" Kevin asked with a confused look.
"Yeah, just for a bit longer, I want to try a couple things to work on my part."
"Alright." He smiled.
Kirstie - Friendly reminder to eat dinner and get lots of sleep. I love y'all!
Mitch - Love you.
Scott - You got it.
Kevin - Currently on my way to getting dinner, and love you too.
Avi - You too!
Kirstie smiled to herself at the string of group messages, put her headphones back on and kept recording.
Twenty minutes later, she was cut off by her phone ringing. It was Avi calling.
"Hey." She picked up the phone. "Are you good?"
"Where are you?"
"Still at the studio, why? Did you leave a jacket or something?" Kirstie took a sip of her water.
"Did anyone ever tell you to take your own advice?" He asked.
"What do you mean?"
"Did you have dinner?" She could see where he was going with this.
"Avi, really, I'm--" She was cut off by hearing a car horn outside. She went out to the door and saw a box of food from her favorite restaurant. On top was a note.
Take your own advice, Kirst.
-AviShe smiled, brought the food in, packed her stuff up, and drove home, sneaking small bites of the food on the way home.
~~~~~
Avi - Good morning, Princess. Did you eat breakfast?
Kirstie - Yes I did, and thank you for dinner last night, Babe.
Avi - Of course.
Later, they were all back in the studios for more recording.
"Hey, did y'all eat and everything?" Kirstie asked the group, being the "mom friend" that she was.
Everyone chorused back a positive response. A moment later, Kirstie found Avi's arm wrapping around her. "And did you take your own advice?"
"Yeah." She smiled and kissed his cheek.
~~~~~
A/N: Y'ALL, WHAT IS THIS THOUGH? Maybe I should eat, the lack of food is messing with my writing!
Well, I'm going to go eat an apple or something, then go to bed.
Goodnight, My Loves! Xoxo! 😘
