Sorry this is trash and rushed, I just wanted to write something for you guys! This would fit into the Off Broadway AU somewhere way down the line from our last oneshot within that prompt. Enjoy!

"How long have you been up?" Kirstie turned the corner to see her boyfriend sitting at their kitchen table. "What are you looking at, there?"

"Nothing of importance." Avi turned around in his chair. Kirstie half smiled as she walked from the entryway, closer to his chair, and as she did, Avi shut his laptop. Kirstie was skeptical about his behavior, but continued on anyways.

"I mean, waking up and seeing you slam your laptop shut when I walk into a room is a bit alarming in my own personal opinion." Kirstie chuckled, but her smile soon disintegrated when she truthfully saw how Avi looked. His skin was pale; a few shades darker than that of a sheet of paper, but not many. His eyes were red from all the strain. His hair, that was normally tamed, was now messy, and pieces of hair were sticking out in every direction. Kirstie assumed that this style was derived from his fingers anxiously running through the locks more times than they should've. And to put an unwanted bow on top of the package, exhaustion had autographed Avi's features in the likings of purple half moons stamped under his eyes. "Look at yourself, my goodness!" Her thumb came to one of the dark circles under his eyes. "What's going on?" Kirstie's voice calmed down.

"What if I told you I was acting? I am a professional at that, y'know?" He smirked.

"If you told me you were acting, I would tell you that you're lying, because you are. You can't just act like this. C'mon, Love, just tell me what's going on." Kirstie kissed the top of his head. Avi sighed and shifted his gaze between Kirstie and his laptop. "If you keep looking at your laptop like that, I'll take it. Don't test me."

Nonetheless, his eyes kept switching between the girl and that piece of technology. "Hey!" Avi exclaimed as Kirstie took his laptop into the living room. He stood there and watched her expressions change as she scrolled through what he was trying to hide from her. He should've cleared his history.

"Why are...why are you reading this? I don't understand. W-Why..." Kirstie put her head in her hands for a moment before looking back up at Avi. "Are you doing this to work yourself harder?"

"What?" Avi propped his shoulder up against the entryway into the living room where Kirstie was sitting.

"Don't make me repeat it." Kirstie's voice got quieter. "I hate just the thought of that."

"Yes." Avi stated, looking at his bare feet, wishing the carpet could just swallow him whole right now; anything to get him out of this situation.

"Avi..." Kirstie's tone sent chills down the director's spine. The sound of her standing up and walking over to him made him a little jumpy. "Come here." She wrapped her arms around her boyfriend. "I can tell you've been losing sleep over this, and why would you read such horrible things about your show? You're just adding fuel to the fire this way."

"I did it to stay accountable. Three strikes, and you're out in this industry, and if I get one more review just as horrible as those two, they're going to shut us down. Or at least put us on show probation for a while. I needed to see what I needed to better in regards to the show, and I'm willing to sacrifice my sl--"

"Avi, stop! This isn't like you!" Kirstie looked him right in the eyes. "You're not like this! You're the type of person who falls asleep at their desk from working, but doesn't do it three nights in a row! I don't like seeing you so rundown over something that shouldn't even be bothering you! The show you've worked so hard for is amazing, and what makes their words more believable than mine?" Kirstie sighed. "Why can you believe them and not believe me when I say your show is great?"

"Kirstie, I...I just need to work harder, I mean...I can't have this show closing down, I can't--" Avi stopped when Kirstie cut him off by shaking his shoulders.

"Why are you doing this?!" Kirstie yelled and punctuated her words. She was never one to yell, well...scratch that. Kirstie was one to yell, but never directly in the face of Avi. Except for if they got into a fight, which seemed to be where they were heading.

"Because if this show fails, we're both broke!" Avi yelled.

"Avi, stop. Please stop. Your show is amazing, I promise you. We're going to be able to keep it up. And if for whatever reason we can't...then we'll survive. I'll be right by you every single step of the way." Kirstie told him.

Avi sighed. "Kirstie?"

"What's up, Love?" Kirstie shut the laptop and set it aside.

"I am just so grateful for you. You can always make me feel better, and--I just...you're amazing."

"Thank you, Love." Kirstie walked over and gave Avi's lips a kiss. "You're even more amazing."
