"Must you smoke inside? You know how much I hate it." Kirstie sighed, watching as her boyfriend lit a cigarette between his teeth.

"And?" Avi asked, exhaling a steady stream of smoke.

"And I don't want this place smelling like an ashtray. If you're going to smoke, go on the fire escape!" Kirstie basically pushed Avi out the window and onto said fire escape. He rolled his eyes, but stood out there anyway.

While he was finishing his cigarette, Kirstie studied her reflection in the hall mirror. She twisted and arched her back to make sure her black dress that hit just above her knees was still short enough to be "on trend" but long enough to cover her bruises. It wasn't unlikely for Kirstie's director to lash out and end up throwing something towards her, or hit her, but if Avi ever found out that her director placed these black and blue bruises on her skin, he would kill him.

"Alright, I'm back." Avi chuckled. Stepping back inside.

Kirstie spun away from the mirror. "Thank you for not making our apartment black like your lungs." Kirstie taunted.

"Let me be." Avi responded.

Kirstie woke up the next day, early, to get to set. She was terrified for today, considering she had a bunch of really intense scenes scheduled to shoot today, and she was worried about what her director would do if she messed them up.

But she couldn't express her fear. These were the golden days of her career, she was at the height of her fame. She couldn't mess it up now.

Kirstie safely made it to her dressing room and started doing her makeup for the shoot today. "Kirstin," Her director opened the door to her room. "I need to talk to you."

"Yes?" Kirstie asked.

Her director, who was only a month older than Avi, slowly stepped closer to her. "We need to talk about this boyfriend of yours."

"Avriel?" Kirstie asked once more.

"Yes, Avriel." He nodded. "Now, do you think he would mind if--"

"Yes, he would, please leave me alone." Kirstie shook her head as he placed a hand on either side of her waistline.

He chuckled, removing his hands from her. "Kirstin, you're beautiful, do you know that?"

"Sir, this isn't right, we shouldn't do this. Please don't touch me." Kirstie pushed him away. She froze once she realized what she did. She pushed her director. She physically hurt her director.

But then again, he physically hurt her.

"Kirstin?" Avi asked, coming into her room. The bouquet of flowers he was holding fell to the ground. "What are you doing?"

"Avi?" Kirstie gasped. "No, it isn't what it looks like. You have to trust me."

But then again, he couldn't trust her. These were the golden days of her career. And after seeing this, he was certain that the fame had gone to her head.
