She stepped out of her car and took a deep breath. "Kaplan!" She called out, getting his attention. Avi's head snapped up from it's place, looking down. "You saw my message, didn't you?"

"What are you doing? Aren't you supposed to be at rehearsals?"

"Aren't you supposed to be sick?"

"Kirstie, come inside and we can figure this out."

She rolled her eyes but followed him in anyways. "You could've just responded or called me over after rehearsals. You didn't have to fake an illness."

Avi ran his hands over his face. "I know, I know...but Kirstie, where the heck did that text come from?"

"I don't really know, Avi! I woke up from a nightmare, and panicked and it just happened, I don't really know."

"So you didn't mean it?" He whispered. "It was heat of the moment?"

"Avi..." Kirstie searched for the right words. "I..."

"Let me help you get started, I'll go first. I love you, Kirstie! Madly, deeply, truly love you! I have ever since the day I met you, but I didn't want to ruin this whole rags-to-riches band thing we had going on, so I shut up. I didn't say anything. I fought back all the times I wanted to kiss you, to tell you this, heck, I fought back hugs most of the time because I knew it'd only make me fall deeper. And, Kirstie--" Avi was cut off by Kirstie kissing him right on the lips.

Their eyes locked after the kiss, and the room fell totally silent. "I'm sorry." Kirstie exclaimed, breaking said silence. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, you were right, I shouldn't have said that or done that, it'll ruin the group, and--"

It was Avi's turn to cut her off. "I loved it."

Kirstie turned to face him, seeing that she had turned away immediately after kissing him. "You what?"

"It might've been the best kiss I've ever had." He started right at her.

"Avi, you're kidding."

"I am not."

Their conversation was stopped by a phone ringing. It was Scott asking where she went and if she was safe. "Yes, Scott, I'm safe, I just...forgot to record the next episode of Breaking Bad...?"

"Alright, um, we called rehearsals off, so if Avi's feeling better tomorrow, same time, same place."

"Alright."

"Bye."

"Bye, Scott."

Kirstie hung up the phone and looked back at Avi. "Since when do you watch Breaking Bad?"

"It was the first show that came to my mind." She chuckled gently.

The room fell back into an awkward silence.

"Hey, Kirstie?" Avi asked after what felt like an eternity.

"Hey, what?"

"What would you do if I kissed you one more time?"

"I'd probably--" Too late. His lips met hers once again.

They broke apart and Kirstie caught her breath. "Hey, Avi?"

"Hey, what?"

"Do you seriously think the group would break up if we started kissing more often?"

"It's a very good possibility." Avi shrugged. "But..." His voice trailed off.

"But...?"

"But it's not gambling if you win." Avi smirked.
