Q: What do you feel about this novel?
I read back this story and i remember how hard it was for me, to finish it. This is the most hardest story that i ever wrote. it was very confusing, very stressful to write this psychological story. Every chapter played with my emotions and caused me happy and most of the time, hurt too.
Q : What is the challenges in finishing the story?
Everything! Building the character, the plots and trying to avoid cliche, and make it as confusing as i can, it caused me a depression.
Q : Is this true story?
All my stories are based on true love but i added on with some imaginations and probabilities . Like this story is actually based on someone's childhood first love. So there some scenes that are actually her/his actual memories like, the first time meeting, the tree scene, the boarding school and the separation.
Q : How you get the ideas?
At first i wanted to create a short simple romantic story about first love / childhood love. The idea is already there. But it came out to be quite long, and started to become beautifully strange and interestingly darker. By the time i realised it, the story became so dark that i sometimes feel nausea everytime i try to write a chapter/ plot.
Q : If this story so dark and hurt you, why do you keep writing it?
Yes , at that time, i do feel like to give it up. I thought i cannot finish this, i don't want to finish this. I even started to write 'KL love story' at the same time, as my second project/novel.
But .. still, i feel like i had to finish this story. Because somewhere, my readers have read and following this story from day 1, and they want an ending. A closure. Without it, how can they move on, same with me. So i kept writing, on and on , with hate and love.
And then, here i am. It finished! and i feel so free after done it. For me, my readers are the motivation for me to finish this story.
Q : What do you want to say to your readers?
When I re-read this novel, the feelings will come all over again. All the hate , anger, happy, beauty of love. It is all in the story , in every chapter.
I hope my readers feel the feelings that i try to put inside this story. This is the 'piece' that i want to forget, but it remains a triumph.
