"You're an idiot." Minnie jumped spinning around to see Marc in front of her and me out of breath behind him. She let out a shaky breath, obvious that she had feared for her life. Her face was drained. "I know." She whispered in a strange voice, neither sad nor repentant just scared with her eyes wide. Marc scoffed before turning and walking away. Minnie and I both stared after him and then at each other. "What were you doing out here?" "Oh!" Minnie yelped turning her back to me and doing a motion similar to spreading seeds. "I'm creating a low tier barrier." I stepped forward to get a better look but Minnie quickly commanded me to follow after Marc saying "I'm was already almost done before you guys interrupted me." I nodded hesitantly. She would be alright, wouldn't she?
I trailed after Marc who hadn't gone too far in the smoke surprisingly. A few seconds later he stopped and ducked under a low rock. Giving up on seeing where I was going in the thick smoke I ducked after him. A soft candlelight illuminated the cave. Two guards stood on either side of the entrance. Glancing around I spotted Marc jogging away, I took a step after him but froze. A moment later another howl echoed from outside. Minnie.

It had been a couple hours in the dusty warehouse before there was any real action. Marc had gotten to his tightly bound feet and proceeded to hobble around the room. Finding what he was looking for, he turned around and knocked the pottery off the low table. It didn't break. Spinning around and lowering himself to the ground, he carefully moved the bowl under his heel. And, saying a quick prayer and then a few curses, he rammed his foot hard on the clay. He yelped in pain, the pottery finally breaking. Smiling despite the pain he managed to grab a sharp piece and start at the ropes binding his wrist.
After what felt like thirty minutes Marc was finally free from the ropes. The had been tightly tied so they had taken longer than expected and had thoroughly tired him out. Rubbing at his wrist lazily he slumped against the wall by the dark wood door. Staring at the high windows he felt a little dizzy even though they couldn't have been more than six feet off the ground. Shaking his head he tried to formulate a plan of escape. Maybe it was the fact that he was suffering from a minor concussion, the soft warmth of the sun, or just the exhaustion from finally freeing himself, either way, Marc had unceremonially fallen asleep.

Spinning on my heels I rushed back out the way I came. One of the guards suddenly places himself in my path. "What is it?" I asked hurriedly, "I need to get out there." He scrunched up his face in an unsure look, glancing at the other guard who shrugged. "If she wants to die, let her." The older guard stated plainly. So I ran around the guard in my path and into the low visibility.
"Just let her face the big bad wolf."

The busy market square was almost too perfect. So many eyes yet not one had seen the young boy despite his completely white hair. The boy was not intentionally avoiding eyes but rather minding his own business. What that business might be was not of the lest concern of anyone. He walked at a quick pace, glancing at displays and momentarily memorizing their wares.
"Not there... Nope... Maybe... nah!" He said in his head as he was continuously disappointed.
Suddenly he caught a glimpse of what he was looking for and perked his head up as someone snatched it up, and as he did a boy slightly younger than him saw something as well. The white-haired boy darted, while the younger boy stared dumbly before following after him. Unaware of his pursuer he continued his own pursuit. Turning down an alley he saw a red door at the end slam. Noticing a sign above it, he stepped forward carefully and only close enough to read it's markings. His eyes widened as he quickly ducked out of there.
