What do you do, when the day of you and your boyfriend's one and a half anniversary finally have come? Do you spend time together? Do you go on a date? Do you sit in a corner and do lovey-dovey stuff?

Nooo. That'd be way to romantic.

Simply, you do like anybody else: Go to school. And for once it was a school. After a discussion with Splinter, the fact that you couldn't stay cooped up in the sewers forever. You were human; and whether or not you wanted to admit it, the few visits to the surface and back wasn't enough. That, though, didn't settle the problem. You couldn't return to your old school, in the fear that you by chance could wind up face to face with your aggressive family-members.

So the only solution: You transferred.

And since (D/g)'s school disliked newcomers, (M/g) was for the higher-financial people, you transferred, after agreement, into (R/g)'s school. You hadn't completely accustomed to the settings around you but surprisingly with minor flaws, it actually felt better than your previous school.

Unfortunately, better or not, it didn't make up for the sad fact that you had to spend half of you and Leo's special day alone. How crazy was it anyway that you had been together for 18 months? Unless you counted your 'minor' break up along, but who did that? You couldn't believe that for about a year ago you used to use your time on hiding bruises from abuse. Today you could confirm you hadn't felt happier nor more confident than you had now.

The bell rang just loud enough to pull you out of your trance, as your classmates one by one began to leak out of your door. Blinking a couple of times disorientated, you gasped realizing it was recess, meaning you'd run late to eat lunch with (R/g).

Immediately as that thought hit, you stood from your seat and hurried collecting your things and stuffed them into your bag, before you followed the rest of the class out into the hallway. Barely have taken a step over the threshold, your ran head first into (R/g), who seemed to be in a hurry.

"(Y/n)!" she exclaimed. "Good, I caught you. No question, but we can't eat together today. Sorry. I'll be in the gym hall."

"What? But...H-Hey!"

Before you could say anything, she had already ran out of sight, leaving you to sigh resigned. It really seemed like you had to be alone. Heavens didn't care about, what the calendar said. Apparently you were the only one who did. At least in school.

Pulling a exasperated smile, you straightened up and held to the hope in the back of your mind: Leo was waiting for you at home, probably just as excited for your date late this evening. Thinking so, you trudged down the hallway to your locker. On the way you raised your eyebrows a little and turned slightly on your heel as a black-haired street girl with purple highlights passed you with a large box in her hands.

Even more surprised you stunned noticed her wink to you as she continued down the way you had come. Confused you looked after her, but after moments you decided to shrug it off as your imagination. Yet, even after reaching your locker, you couldn't help but wonder. You were almost 100% certain that you didn't know anybody by that appearance. If you did, you were pretty sure you'd remember it.

And that was about the last second of thought you were allowed, just as a startled shriek escaped from you, when you opened your locker. Out from the limited space flushed a river of (f/f) like a (f/c) waterfall and fell to the floor, creating a flowerbed around your feet. Shocked you stumbled back a few meters, as you watched the never ending flow. How could there be so many flowers in such a little room? Who put them there? What was going on?!

Finally after minutes, the stream came to its end and the last (f/f) fluttered to the floor. Left you were while staring at the remaining content where your schoolbooks had meant to be. A neatly wrapped package that was addressed to you, which previously had been hidden in the flowers, now were revealed. You stepped cautiously over and opened the gift. Inside you found what looked to be homemade chocolate arranged into a heart while covered in blue colors. And along with that a note:

 Happy anniversary, sweetheart.
Looking forward to our date tonight <3
- Leo

A collective 'aww' echoed behind you. You turned just to find a crowd of other students who had stopped up n their tracks to watch what commotion had brought a whole garden into the school. Most of the girls, who had realized it was a declaration of love, reflected the same smile as you, and for a moment you didn't care about the random audience nor the beautiful, yet messed floor. You were happy.
