Through three years, your whole lifestyle had changed from a daily life of talking mutants to a daily life with normal humans, who even seemed to be interested in the same activities as you. It was a lifestyle, you didn't think, you'd ever get to experience again, yet you had and now it was time to let the lifestyle go once again.

As much as you loved the school you had been on and the majority of the people in it, then the word 'normal' just no longer fit into your dictionary. In your life you needed actions and giant talking animals with weapons. That had become a realization you discovered those last few years.

Of course, that didn't make your goodbye with your new lifestyle and Kage anyway easier.

You had never been good person at things like 'goodbyes'. You hadn't been when you left your parents, neither with Raph and of course that wouldn't  be different, just because it was Kage.

Just one day prior, you had let Kage escort you to the bus, before exchanging sort of bro-ish kind of hug and exchanged contact information once again, making sure you could keep in touch. Neither of you waved when the bus took off, but from your seat you could see Kage stood where you had left him, watching you departure.

One day later and you were once again, after years, back at well-known territory. New York City looked just like it had when you left it; Over-publiced, noisy and just the perfect place for you to live. And from the sign, which hang in the Lair, this could certainly be called: 'Sweet, sweet home' .

You exited the bus a few streets away from Central Park with all your things  and decided to find a nearby alley you could send a message to Raph from, so he could come pick you up. It felt odd to see the name of Raph's name pop up on screen. You hadn't used his contact in a eternity. You were almost totally sure, he had forgot the date of your return, so how should you let him know it was today of all days?

Hey, Raphie.
I'm back in town. Mind picking me up?
X0x (Y/n).

As soon as you had read over your message, you deleted it again. You hadn't seen the guy for three years, not for mentioning talking. Would sending him a indifferent message seem a little too cold-hearted? On the other way you couldn't just send him some kind of creepy love letter. That'd just be wrong in so many ways.

After awhile of contemplating different ideas, you ended up fixing your mind to a simple 'hello'.  That couldn't go too wrong...hopefully.. You send your one-worded text to him and waited for answer, which you received almost instantly, as a a familiar beep echoed through the alley.

Surprised your turned you head in the direction of the sound, just to find the sound came from the most shadowed part of they alley. Squinting your eyes suspiciously, you grumbled, having a feeling of deja vu: "I know, you're in there. Get out here now."

For a moment there was totally silence, until a faint, barely noticeable,  movement suddenly happened and someone began to approach you. Out of the shadows, none other than your Turtle in red came, with his hands raised. In one of his hands a phone was displaying your very message.

Blinking taken aback a couple of times, your features scrunched into a glare. "What the shell, Raph? Are you stalking me? Again?!"

The one and only Raphael as confident and cocky as ever gazed at you with a all too well-known smirk playing over his face. "Would it make you happy, if I said no?"

You confused you shook you head. "What? No!"

"Then yes.  Yes, I did," he replied, giving you time to comprehend his little trap of word.

"Wha-..." Finally realizing what he had done you, instead of happy, annoyed stomped over to him, face close to his. "Have you just come here to mock me?"

"Actually, I came to welcome you home," Raph replied and placed his arms around your waist, indifferent by the glare you were sending him. "You said, you came today, so I waited for you."

"Then where's my 'welcome home'?" you huffed, a bit of your steam fading.

Chuckling, Raph brought you closer to him as he leaned down. "Welcome home, (Y/n)." The mischievous spark in his eyes, turned into a serious one as he met your. "Now, let me repeat from three years ago: 'I'm never letting you go again'."

Letting you have no time to amswer, he connected you both by a kiss, turning any ire you had into a tickling  in your heart. For you two it'd never be hard to find your way back into your old lifestyle.
