One year, six months, a couple days, few hours, a billion seconds. That's how long you've been together with Donnie. That's how long since your life turned 180 degrees and let you walk your first steps together with someone who could fill your heart with love.
Precisely today were you and Donnie's one and a half years anniversary. It was almost like a dream for the both of you. You couldn't believe that, it was so long ago you became a cuople. After everything you've been through it didn't feel real. Dimensions didn't exist about a year ago. Mutant turtles didn't exist.
Thank the Lord, though, that they did exist. Else you wouldn't be able to feel as excited all over as you did. Donnie had invited you on a date as a celebration for the evening. You didn't know where he'd take you, everything, you knew, was that as soon school ended you'd spend a amazing time with your geeky boyfriend.
That said; the school day still had to end, and by the look of the clock, you still had by far over half of your classes left to attend.
You let out a small sigh as you lowered your book from your face and let it rest in the table for awhile. Leaning back into your chair, you rubbed your tired eyes with the back of your hand. Lunchbreak had barely started, yet the cafeteria already were crowded to the rim with students and busy teachers. Every table around you buzzed with energetic talk and laugher.
Every table, except yours.
Like most other occasions, you sat alone, with your favorite book as your company. You gazed down at the cover of the book and bowed your head. You had just reached the climax, yet you couldn't concentrate about what you were reading. Your head was filled with expectations, distracting you too much to could focus.
A quiet growling beneath your waist was heard and you instinctively hugged your stomach flustered. Maybe too distracted to read, but apparently your body wasn't too distracted too crave for food you had lacked to serve it.
Taking it as a excuse to get your head out of the clouds, you stood from your table and headed in a steady tempo between the lots of teenagers and obstacles. You reached the line with more or less ease and took a tray, which you one by one began to fill in as the line moved.
As you reached the sections of dessert a familiar, kind face showed up on the opposite side of the counter, smiling to you. "(Y/n), it's awhile since, I've served you a meal."
"Sorry (???), I've been busy," you replied with a equal smile. (???) was one of your school's lunch-ladies. She had big bones, but a even bigger heart. Compared to you bullies, she was one of the people you always looked forward to see.
"Don't apologise, honey. I've been young, too. I know how busy love can make you," she said, winking to you secretly as she scooped an extra large bowl of pudding onto your tray. "
Startled you almost dropped your lunch. "L-Love...?"
Seeing your reaction, she laughed heartfelt. "Oh, how it must be to be young, wild and free." For a moment her expression clouded with nostalgia, until the first ring of the bell resounded, jerking her back to reality. "Now, time flies quick. You should eat, instead of talking with a old lady like me."
Before you could protest, you were pushed forward with impatience by the student behind you, which left you no other choice than to leave. Greeting her with a wink, you returned to your table.
By the time you'd gone through your meal, the bell rang once again and most of your classmates had already left for class. You gathered your thinks in a hurry, out of the cafeteria, and ran towards your classroom. However, as you entered, you immediately knew, there was something wrong.
Around your usual seat near the window, your whole class had gathered, starring and whispering animated. Raising a eyebrow quizzing, you moved to the gathering of people in a attempt to see what was going on.
"Excuse me..." you uttered and moved forward, only to be pushed several steps back.
"Not now," one of those who you pushed hissed.
"Let me through!"
"Go away."
"But..."
"WHAT IS YO....(Y/n)?!"
Your argument with your classmate came to an end when she noticed it was you. She spun around with a gasp, and so did the rest of the crowd who quickly split up, like a bunch of kids caught in a sin.
"What's going on?" you asked, squeezing yourself through the lots of people. "What...Oh...."
It didn't take you long to understand the cause of the sudden commission. No one from your school actually knew, your had found a new boyfriend, since your fake relationship with (ex/n). Yet, now, a lovely cut wooden mini-statue of a (f/f) stood on your table. Around the stem a beautiful (f/c) and purple necklace hang, and under the statue, one single note was written, with the same curvy handwriting that belonged to Donnie:
To my one and only, (Y/n).
