We all love those moments when someone genuinely compliments you and mean it from the bottom of their heard. It makes your heart flutter and your smile brighten, and when your boyfriend do it, it only increases the effect.

However, when the compliments go overboard to the limit it could be considered gushing, then it simply becomes embarrassing, no matter how good the compliments are intended. Mikey, you're sweet boyfriend, didn't seem to know where that limit was. Or maybe he did, and just didn't care?

Either way, one evening the whole family was gathered inside the living room to eat dinner. Sitting on your legs on each your pillow, you all sat on the floor around the low tables, eating the delicious dishesand laughing in high spirit. It was these moments every person cherished. To be around the people that meant the most to you, not worrying about anything or anyone.

Using your chopsticks to scoop up some of the noodles from your bowl, you listened tenderly, as Mikey told the story of his victory in the Battle Nexus tournament once again. It was a old story you had heard thousands of times, yet you still couldn't help but smile by the proud way Mikey kept adding to the story.

"...And without even moving a muscle I, the Battle Nexus champion, easily defeated my dear brother Raphie," Mikey said, grinning widely.

Raph growled lowly. "Like shell you did, bonehead. You hardly know what's up and down."

"I do!" Mikey protested with a pout. "It's bad to be a sore loser, dude."

"Michelangelo," master Splinter spoke up, stopping his son in red, before he could stand. "Being a sore winner is no excuse either. Modesty is the key. Perhaps, instead of talking about yourself, you should compliment someone."

"But, sensei..." Briefly he glanced to his brother. "There's nothing about Raph I can compliment. He's a big meanie."

Simultaneously Raph and Mikey stuck their tongue out at one another, which left their poor father sighing. Anicent One, who had eaten his meal quietly, turned his gaze to you and a unexpected smile showed on his chubby face. "Monkey-turtle, compliment your girlfriends then. You can do that right?"

Surprisingly, even without having said a word, you still ended up as the center of attention. Even Leo, (L/g), Donnie and (D/g), who had had a conversation of their own, quieted down and turned their heads to listen onto the mess you suddenly found yourself in. Much differently from your expression, Mikey's shone with a bright smile that was turned your way.

"I can do that." He winked to you, completely ignoring the fact you still were chewing on your meal. "It won't be too hard. After all, everything about my chica is good."

Anicent One's smile deepened. "Then tell us, what do you love about her?"

"W-Wha...!" You frantically looked to him, then to Mikey, not sure what to do nor say.

MIkey grinmed. "That's easy. I love everything about her!" His gaze met yours and instantly you blushed. "I love her cute laugh that brightens my day, her lovely scent after a shower, her pretty and bright smile, her soft skin, beautiful voice whenever she speaks, her eyes I always get lost in. I love her... Mm!"

Before he could give you another compliment, you had clasped your hand over his mouth, preventing him from saying anything. Your face glowed red with shyness and embarrassment. Sometimes it could be too much of the good stuff. Even from Mikey.

The three brothers grimaced at their brother's too sappy complimentary, while their three girlfriends giggled unintentionally. Master Splinter seemed satisfied by the turn of events and Anicent One simply chuckled.

For the the rest of the dinner, you ate with one of your hands covering Mikey's mouth, while he continued to mumble under it.

So much for a normal dinner.
