TMNT: 2003 Boyfriend scenario - Love Is Blossoming.

A chapter ends, our new story begins - Leonardo

Winter had come to New York City in a flash of lightening, and had begun to its signs as the leaves dazzled off the trees and flocks of birds flew south to warmer countries for them to be in. The snow had yet to arrive, as the few still manageable days with decent temperatures had begun to fade

It had been around two weeks, since you had arrived back home into the safe and familiar environments of New York City, or more specifically; the Lair. From your first step into the Lair and back into arms of the Hamato family's embrace, you had felt completely at home and relived that nothing major seemed to had changed while you were gone.

 Or, of course, minor things had occurred and thereby differed from your previous time in the Lair, but you couldn't really act surprised. New scars from new battles. New design of the Lair's furniture. A lot more mature bunch of brothers. Things had changed, but not in a way you hadn't already expected would change.

Yet still that didn't stop you from being curious of what adventure your boyfriend had been in at your absents. 

Around noon, you and Leo had made a deal to take a little tour outsidw, as Leo had asked you out for a dste. He hadn't told you where, why or what was going to happen other than telling you that you should dress up in something warm and comfy, as it'd probably be chilly when you arrived at your destination. Just like you had agreed, you met at the Battle Shell and soon enough drove out of the Warehouse and onto open streets, leading to somewhere outside of the city.

"Just a little clue?" you pleaded from your passenger seat. "Like is it somewhere we've been before?"

Chuckling heartedly at your effort to guess your destination, he shook his head, as he shifted gear. "I'm going to tell, (Y/n). You just have to wait and see."

"That's not fair," you pouted, though still unable to hide your smile.  "You shouldn't keep secrets, Leo. They're gonna bite you in the tail someday."

Taking a turn, Leo shifted gear again, before taking a hold of your hand. "Probably, but today, I think, i'll take the chance, but trust me, you'll like it."

Having no other good argument up in your sleeve, you nodded and trusted that he knew what he was talking about. After a while I'd driving back and forth between the roads, you finally seemed to notice something familiar about this place, as the ocean came closer and closer. Faint memories started to flow through your mind and you quickly turned Leo with wide eyes.

"Are we really going to..." you questioned amazed.

Leo nodded in confirmation. "The beach where we had our first date."

Blinking a few times, you turned back the wonderful vantage. Your first date with Leo had been at this beatch. And you had shared your first kiss here as well. So many fond memories at one place were gathered here from so long ago, yet they still lingered close to your heart.

After another while the Battle Shell finally came to a halt, as Leo packed it near a bay with a nice view over the seas. Turning the keys, he glanced towards you and smiled as seeing the excitement sparkling from your eyes.

"What do you say, if we took a walk?" Leo asked, nodding towards the beach. "Want to see the sunset?"

"Of course!" you replied and emerged out to solid ground, before going side by side with your leader in blue down to the shore.

Very smoothly, as you strolled across the sand,  Leo's hand found yours and intertwined tightly in a lock. Even, though, the breeze howling from  the coast was chilly, you didn't notice at all, due to the warmth tingling in your hand. Combing that with the breathtaking view over the water, it in a brief moment felt like time had stopped for you.

"It's hard to imagine, we were here so long ago," Leo said, as breaking the silent sounds of waves. "That we're together even after so many years."

Giving a light nod, you thought back to the time,  when you started dsting before life gor so complicated. "It's not that hard actually," you responded and blushed lightly as continuing. "I feel like we were meant to be together...I-I don't know if that sounds weird..."

Smiling, he shook his head and stopped up, as gazing at you. "It doesn't. I feel the same and the reason I've taken you out here."

"You wha-...!!"

Turning away from the waves, you had expected to find Leo at eye-level with you. However, instead you found thin air and had to lower your gaze to something that made your heart skip.  Leo was down on one knee in front of you with one hand resting on his belt and the other still holding your hand.

"I've thought for a long time, how to do this," Leo told, smiling wryly at your startlement. "I thought, about dinner, about taking you to somewhere special, about letting my brothers help. But then it hit me, instead of something fancy, the most appropriate place to do this was where our story for real began to form."

You were in a complete daze, being enchanted and bound into every word. Your hand trembled, as you fought the threat of tears away, but felt the reassuring squeeze from the Turtle you loved the most. It really was happening. You weren't dreaming.

"Leo..." you choked out.

"You're the most amazing girl I've met; Lovely, funny, kind and so so much more, (Y/n). The day I met you, I never had thought we'd end up where we are now, but here we are." Shifting his eyes up to meet yours, he smiled a warm smile. "I'm head over tail for you and every single tear you split breaks my heart, while every smile you share with me heals it again."

Your eyes grew wetter for second that passed. You wanted to speak, to share your emotion with him, but any words you tried to speak were caught in your throat.

From a small pocket in his belt, Leo revealed the final touch to the moment, sending your first tears down your pink cheeks: A ring. A simple yet pretty design was engraved into the meta, making it one of the most beautiful things you had ever seen.

"I want to share the rest of my life with you, (Y/n), through hardships and good times. If I'm with you, I feel like the future is so much brighter and even more precious." Lifting the ring a little higher as a offer, it seemed like time and space had quieted down just for you.  "(Y/n) (M/n) (L/n), I love you. I promise to make you cherish and protect you through anything....Will you do me the honor and spend the rest of your life with me?"

Desperately your tears began to draw down in light streams, but they were from happiness, and a smile brighter and clear formed on your features. Taking the hand, Leo was holding the ring in, you clasped your hand together with your already joined once.

"I'd love to..." you whispered,  "Nothing would make me happier."

You fell to your knees, but before you could hit the sand, Leo pulled you in to his arms. Who started it wasn't important, but as the last rays of sunshine fell upon you, your hearts melted together in a heart-pounding kiss, perfect to seal a promise between husband and wife.
