"Then he said my boyfriend which had me completely confused because the only boys I talk to are Drew, my brothers and Jace, but not until recently," I placed the two mugs of hot cocoa on the island. "I mean, Jordan and Zayn are automatically eliminated because they're my brothers. Drew? Ew. But Jace? Impossible!"
Mia sips her tea, "Not that I'm on this mystery persons side," she waved her hands in the air for effect, "but Jace is the only other logical explanation. But Kayla, don't you think you should tell your parents? I mean, you have a complete stalker on your hands."
"You're right," I sighed, "but what will they do? They're just as busy and they're leaving to Waret to visit my grandmother."
Mia shrugged, "It's honestly the best option." I sighed knowing my best friend is right and we continued to just hang out and talk. "So, I met this guy-"
"Mia," I warn.
"What?"
"It hasn't even been a week and you already found someone new?" I question and she rolls her eyes. "I am 17. If I want to be married by 25, I need to forget my past and work harder towards my future," she defends herself which makes me chuckle.
Jordan walked into the kitchen, looking a bit tired with bags under his eyes but they still held a tiny of happiness. "Hey Mia," he greets and she waves.
"What are you doing up so late?" I question and he pours himself a glass of Kool aid. "Shouldn't I be asking the two of you the same thing?" He shot back and I narrow my eyes.
"Touche."
"I was just on the phone with Laila," he responds to my previous question which makes me smile. "What are the two of you anyway?" Mia asks which makes me a little relieved as I was nervous to bring up the topic.
He sighed, plopping on the stool in between Mia and I, "I want the two of us to be something but I'm not sure she feels the same way."
I smiled at my twin, "Jordan, all I can say is don't push the topic. If she wants you guys to take the next step, she'll bring it up." Jordan stared at me with a bored look and Mia chuckled.
"Why would he get advice from you? You've literally never been in a single relationship," Mia chuckles and I pout. "No offense baby sis but she's right," Jordan spoke up and I glared at him, "I still love you?" He says Ike a question and I stood from my stool.
"Goodnight," I groan as I walk upstairs to my room, Boe following closely behind. I layed on my bed and so did she, cuddling up by my legs and I began to stroke her fur. "At least you're here for me, my baby," I coo and Mia enters the room, closing the door behind herself.
She switched off the light and layed next to me under the covers. "You know I'm here for you, bae," she smiles and I turn the other way. "I said goodnight," I groan.
I'm the type of person that when I'm mad, it's best for me to stay quiet because I can be a ticking time bomb. I felt her shift in the sheets and my feet became ticklish, "Stop," I whisper, trying not to laugh too loud considering my parents were asleep.
"Goodnight bitch," she chuckles and I turn to face her. "Language," I warn and she just smiles innocently.

I adjusted my maroon hoodie and jeans before sliding on my UGGs and going downstairs to the kitchen. "Morning," I greet Mia, Mom, Zayn, Dad and Jordan.
"Hey sweetie," my dad smiles as he pecks my forehead, "I have to head to work. I'll be back by dinner," he kisses my mom before leaving the room. I turn to look at my best friend who is wearing one of my anime shirts as basically a dress as it's stopping right at her knees. My school isn't big on dress codes so.....self explanatory.
