Number one in CEREAL!! YAYYYY!!

The annoying sound of my phone going off is what awaketh me and I groan, grabbing it and sliding right before shoving the pillow on my face.

"First day of school," I groan into the pillow.

I hear the doorbell ring but think nothing of it as I know my parents are most definitely awake.

"Mikayla! There's something here for you!" The sound of my mother rings through my ears, only making me groan more.

I soon gather the strength to get out of bed and trudge my way downstairs, following my mom into the living room.

"What is it?" I ask, my voice still groggy from sleep.

Mother turns with a smile and I see the prettiest backpack I could've ever. It was just the cutest little thing. She then hands me a letter.

At first, I was nervous about opening it because of all the letters I've received in the past...yeah.

But the way mom was smiling when she read it made me think otherwise.

Also, the cover said Open it, stupid in an all too familiar cursive writing.

I laugh at it and open the card.

Good morning Chinese idiot. Hope you had an amazing sleep and dreamt of your beautiful knight in shining armor.

Me.

You're probably wondering "Why'd you write a letter instead of texting me?" Well, the simple answer to that is I'm going to Lei in a few months....I know. Boo hoo.

And I really wanted us to be one of those old fashion nineties couples so never text me while I'm there unless:

1. You don't have paper with you

2. It's urgent and you can't go another minute without talking to your Master

I laugh at that. "So cocky."

Or 3. The world is ending and you need me to be there in 2.5 seconds

Anyway yeah, you get the point.

No texting.

I don't care if the post office is closed or the mailman's house caught on fire.

If you need me to know about this dress you bought yourself, I'll receive the message by next Thursday.

Yeah so like I had told you, I went school supply shopping for the both of us and so here's your portion of...stuff.

You have everything you need in there, sponsored by yours truly.

You've been busy and your head has been everywhere. That I know because it's already bigger than your entire body.

I roll my eyes. "I'mma beat him up." Mom laughs at that before walking off.

But yeah. Here's everything you need. I love you and you're my favorite dummy.

The man of your dreams,
Jace Morgan

And then, he had the audacity to put a signature and all.

"He's a handful," I tell myself and open the beautiful bag.

Books, a binder, pens, pencils and all the stuff I'd need for school were in there.

I smile. "But he's my handful."

"Honey! Get ready quick! I'll drop you off when I head to the cafe!" Mom yells from the kitchen.
