"What happened between you and your Dad?" I turn from the TV to Jace.
He only chuckles. "I love how you go from beating me four times to a random ass convo. But, that topic doesn't really mat–"
"Yes it does because you're my boyfriend, I own you and I want to know everything about you," I place my hand on his bare knee. He had changed into basketball shorts and a black tee.
"It's not important, Kayla," he stood and walked into his bathroom. I honestly feel like that will be his go–to–get–away–from–Mikayla place. I decide not to push the topic and turn off the Wii, following him in the bathroom since the door was wide open. He had wet his face and was now staring at himself in the mirror, his palms becoming red from how hard he was gripping the sink.
"I'm gonna go."
Jace turns to me. "Don't tell me you're mad."
"I'm not," I lie. One of the first lies that slipped through me without sounding like I was.
"Yes you are because when you are," he lifts my head to face him, "you look everywhere but at me." We share a few glances before I turn and head downstairs, Jace following behind.
"I need to get home."
"Why?" He tugs on my arm to stop me, just as I was nearing the park.
I was walking so fucking fast.
"It's getting late–"
"It's three in the afternoon."
"Jace, I need to go home!" I yell, feeling very annoyed of his constant and unnecessary replys.
"Then let me take you–"
"I'll use the bus." I begin walking again before I'm grabbed and drapped over his shoulder. "Jace, put me down!"
He only continued to walk before placing me in the passenger seat of his car, running around the other side–I'm guessing so that I don't escape–and starting the car before backing up. He chuckles to himself, "You think I'd let you go home upset? Ha! Very funny, Bae."
I cross my arms over my chest after putting on my seatbelt and stare out the window, my mind counting the amount of houses we pass as I do my best to ignore Jace calling for me.
Soon, we're at a little Ice cream place. Jace got out of the car and came round the otherside before opening my door. He literally squatted and stared up at me while I turn the other way. "Get your cute ass out the damn car, Kayla."
"No."
His hands are now placed on both sides of my head and soon, his lips trail all around my face. "Get...out...the...car...I know," he says between kisses before stopping, his eyes glued to my lips, "you want ice cream." He leans in, only to kiss my MOTHERFUCKING NOSE THAT I NOW WANT TO CUT OFF BECAUSE HE GIVES IT MORE ATTENTION THAN MY FUCKING MOUTH!
"Okay! Okay," I chuckle and he smiles. The two of us walk in the parlor hand in hand, ending up sharing an Oreo milkshake because Jace decided that he wanted to be cheap today and teach me that as my boyfriend, he won't always get me what I want. "So, what did you do while I was gone?"
"Other than chase Karley up and down the house, nothing really. I still wanna see Christopher Robin though," he leans back into the chair after snatching the milkshake to himself.
"Hey!"
"You've drunk half of this yourself, Kayla. Stop being selfish."
I stuck my tongue out at him and he does the same. "You two youngsters are the cutest couple. I wanna see you two last," a waitress says as she walks by, but leaves without a response.
