"Two large Hawaiian pizzas, please," I smile before paying the amount needed and walking back over to where Finn and Jace were seated with the order number. I hand Jace back the fifty and he gives me a weird look.
"You were supposed to pay for the pizza."
"I did."
"With what money?"
"Mine. You pay for everything."
Jace furrows his brows. "It's basically my job."
"No it's not, Jace," I chuckle. "Anyway let's go buy drinks."
"They sell drinks here," Finn says.
"Well yeah but it's like five dollars for a Sprite when you can get it for one fifty in Walmart."
They both just chuckle and we walk to Walmart. I grab some fruit water and they obviously got sodas or whatever before we head back to the restaurant and ate. "Jace?"
"Yeah?" He responds with a full mouth.
"Do you remember all the girls you've ever slept with?" I ask seriously and he turns red, Finn chuckling.
"No, why?"
"I just need to know at least five of them. You know? You're really popular and stuff, I don't want some random girl just beating me up cause we're dating," I dip my pizza in the ranch.
Jace places his slice down and leans into his cahir, seeming to be deep in thought. "Well, there was Astrid, Melllllanie? Genevieve," he says with a high pitched voice and I chuckled. "Um, Claudine, Claudia. Merida? Meredith? Meranda? Fuck, I don't know. And like a billion and one Ashley's."
I nod, taking mental note of the names but one specifically made me feel a whole nother type of way.
Monday
I spot Drew and run over and basically jump up on his back. "Deeee!"
"Kaylaaa!" He squeals too and I laugh and jump down. "Mia and I are going swimming later, wanna join? All of us have barely seen each other this past week."
I think for a moment. "Sure. Can I bring Jace too though?"
"Yeah, that's cool but Phoenix will be there." His tone honestly sounds like he doesn't mind Jace coming but softens at the mention of his brother.
"Urgh," I groan. "I haven't talked to him since your birthday."
"Oh really? What happened?" He opens the door for us and we enter the cafeteria. Thankfully, the last thing before going home today.
"I was just asking why we stopped talking but he's not that easy to get through to so," I shrug and sigh, "that's our current position. How's everything with you and Mia?"
"Great. I've never loved someone as much as I love her, I swear."
Hearing my best friend talk about my other best friend is so sweet. I just love how in love they are with each other honestly and can't wait to be in that position one day too.
Later
"Do you wanna go swimming?" I ask once I open the door for Jace. Why he's at my house? I don't know."Well that's one way to say hi," he chuckles. "And no, I thought you would understand the issue by now."
"Then why are you here? Cause I'm supposed to leave in an hour." We both trail up the stairs just for him to dive on my bed.
"Are these new sheets?" Jace asks.
"Yes and stop changing the topic," I say, beginning to dig through my swimsuit drawer.
"I find it funny how your bed is amost exactly the same as mine in Nadu," he chuckles.
