After tying on my vans, I grabbed my bag and stood, smiling at myself in the mirror. Yellow shirt, ripped light wash overalls and Vans with sunflowers on them. I'm not sure who I'm dressing so fancy for but I'm definitely rocking this messy bun.

I know you're probably laughing at the fact that this is how I dress fancy but I usually don't dress up what so ever. It's a blessing in itself that I'm actually wearing clean clothes.

"Patrick! Squid!" I yell, pulling out my Kaylette that I made last night and putting it in a Ziploc bag. I placed the sandwich, a Capri Sun, an apple, trail mix and water in my bag because I've been told many times that I'm too old to have a lunch box.

Jordan walked in brushing his hair, so I quickly hit his hand making his brush go flying across the room. "What the fuck was that for?" He groans with creased eyebrows.

I point my finger out at him in a disapproving manner, "Language. How many times do I tell you not to play with your hair in the kitchen?" He just sighs and walks over to the backyard door where his brush landed, bending over and retrieving it.

It wasn't until then that I realized his outfit. He had on an original Off White sweater, black jeans and black sneakers. "Ooh, where's Mr. King going?" I ask. Jordan usually just wears a t-shirt and shorts so of course I had to ask.

"I have a full day planned out for Laila and I," he smiles. "But you're still coming to school right?" I ask and he nods, making me smile. A car honk was heard from outside and I was easily able to recognize it as Mia's. "Gotta go. Tell Zayn I left."

I left the house and hopped into the passenger seat of Mia's car, smiling over at my best friend who was busy texting away on her phone. She had on a grey turtle neck crop top thing, white jeans and a matching long white cardigan. Her hair was flowing freely down though it was a bit curled but still looked natural.

"That's my best friend, that's my best friend," I sang as I took a Snapchat of her. She smiled before turning off her phone and driving off. "How did I end up with you?" She asks as she laughs harder than I thought she would though I'm pretty sure it was just me because of my loud obnoxious laugh.

"How did we end up together anyway?" I ask as we continue to laugh. "You just seemed different I guess and you just weren't like those other girls that only gossip and get their nails done," Mia shrugged and I nodded, pulling out my trail mix from my bag. "True, true. And you weren't one of those bully's that didn't like my hair. No racism but you are definitely the first white person that really likes my hair," I smile, stuffing my face with my snacks.

"Like it? I'm jealous," she smiles as she turns a corner. "Our friendship is just something any normal human being would be jealous of."

"Yeah, remember that time when we got stuck on that roller coaster. We took pictures and videos of it and were talking about how we were gonna travel the world together. It was all fun and games until our sleeping pills from the night before got to us because we were just so excited for the next day that we couldn't sleep," Mia chuckles.

"We woke up in the back of Drew's car!" I mention and laugh harder. I noticed after awhile that she had stopped laughing and so did I. I knew it was about Drew so I shifted my position a little to face her, "Mia, you can tell me." I whisper.

She sighs, "I guess with the whole Reece thing and all, Drew has just been on my radar. I meet someone new and tell him and he goes into a total spiral. I mean, it's not like I'm marrying the guy or we're a couple, I just wanted him to know because he's my.." she paused before continuing, "brother. And I care about him a lot and obviously I try not to do things that will upset OR you but sometimes, ya girl just needs to do things her way you know?" She relaxed in her seat and it was then that I realize we're in the school parking lot.
