Mia wiped a fake tear, "I'mma be an aunt soon." And with that, she got our now empty bowls and left the room.
She came back now trudging in her slides and spinning her car keys around in her finger. "What do you mean by aunt?"
Mia gives me a bored look. "Don't tell me you're that slow. Anyway, I have to go. I'm supposed to go meet up with Austin." I nod and she gave me hug before leaving.
My phone furiously goes off and I pick it up.
???: hey
???: so I'm bored
Right before I could respond, I'm being called. I chuckle at Jace before answering the call and leaning against my headboard. "Munchkin! Oh, are you already asleep?"
I shake my head with a smile even though he can't even see me. It's almost nine o'clock at night but there's no way he thinks I go to sleep that early. "No, why?"
"Wanna go get something to eat?"
I look down at what I'm dressed in. I haven't showered since Jace left yesterday morning and I wasn't planning on doing it until tomorrow. Not even sure why. "I guess but where though?"
"We could go to Domino's I guess or something."
"But Domino's is only take out."
"We can eat in my car," he suggests and it's almost as if I could feel him smirking through the phone.
"Be here in forty five minutes."
"Got it."
I hung up before heading to my closet. I was just in sweats and a sports bra from yesterday like I said. I simply threw on a hoodie and my slides before walking over to my parents room.
"I'm going out for pizza," I poke my head through the door. My mom was at her vanity in her night gown, removing her makeup while my dad was in boxers and a wife beater, seated on his bed using his laptop.
"With who honey?" My mom asks. My silence causes them to look over at me with smirks.
"Have fun," my dad grins.
I roll my eyes and was just about to walk away before my mom yells, "$2.59!"
I turn to her, "Huh?"
"Condoms. They're $2.59."
Grimacing, I close the door before making my way down the stairs and out the door. Jace was just pulling up in my driveway and I walk to the car and hop in.
On the way there he was telling me about how his car needed a name. "Like, a nickname or a name name?" I ask, still lost as I plop my head on my knees which are pulled up to my chest.
"Like a name name. I had went out one time with some buddies and this gir-" he paused for a second before continuing, "I was asked what my cars name is. I was shook like 'why the fuck would my car have a name?' but then I realized alot of people name their cars."
We walked into Domino's and order a Hawaiian pizza, waiting for a full twenty minutes before paying and leaving. Jace got in the car and I look at it for awhile. His car was a black Audi R8.
After long thought, I get back in the car. "Winnie."
"Huh?" Jace asks as I grab a slice.
"Your car. Looks like a Winnifred. Winnie for short," I shrug.
"Really? I was thinking like an Ice or a Platinum or something. But Winnie? Like, no hate bu-"
I push his hand which is holding his slice of pizza up to his mouth. "Winnie," I whisper.
