[ M I K A Y L A ]
Okay, so I think someone must've put some black juju on me or some other black magic type stuff because I woke up in my bed.

I fell asleep in a car.

I woke up in a bed.

Am I a witch?

Or a magician?

Meh, either's fine with me.

Luckily I was in sweats yesterday so it's not like I fell asleep in jeans or something uncomfortable. Today's now Wednesday meaning that we only have two days left in Nadu.

It was really fun here though, I'll admit and I wouldn't mind coming back over the summer or something.

I head down the stairs where I find Jace, Finn, Kehlani and Mia planning something. "It would be fun though so I'm up for it," Kehlani shrugs.

"Up for what?" I yawn, my arms stretching all over the place.

"We're all gonna go to Walmart and play like truth or dare and stuff," Mia smiles.

"It won't be the messy type of dares and stuff though. At least I don't think so," Jace says, eyeballing Finn and Mia who are all smiles.

Something that looked like a paper or something caught my eye as it was on Jace's cheek. Has that ever happened to you? You could be doing honestly nothing until something on someone's face catches your eye and you just have to get it off.

I walk to Jace and try to get it off but it wasn't budging. "What are y–ah, fuck! You freaking scratched me," Jace looks up at me–he's sitting and I'm standing btw.

"Sorry, sorry." He grabs hold of my hand and looks at my nails.

"When did you get these?"

"On Monday."

"You have to get them off," his eyes meet mine once again.

I retract my hand, "No, why?"

"That shit is too long. You just gonna be scratching me for your own entertainment," he glares at me, pursing his lips.

"No I won't and I actually like them. I think they're cute," I smile, making myself another bowl of cereal.

"I swear you're the only one in this house that eats that shit," Finn chuckles.

I gasp, "Fruit loops are like my third favorite cereal."

"What are your first and second?" asks Laila as she gets a spoon for her yogurt.

"Cornflakes and Cinnamon Toast Crunch," I smile, digging into the meal the Lord has blessed upon us.

* * * * *
"Okay, Finn. I dare you to go lick the refrigerator glass," Kehlani points to one of the freezers. We were now at Walmart playing truth or dare. Kaitlyn and Zayn left us awhile ago to go buy some stuff that they made need or whatever.

We aren't just playing through, we're also buying clothes for tomorrow and food as well. Finn's supposed to take us glow in the dark laser tagging tomorrow.

Finn's hesitant at first before he goes towards a fridge and licks it, all of us cringing. Some guy looked our way and Finn quickly grabbed a pizza from the fridge and put it in the cart like nothing happened.

"Mikayla, truth or dare?" Drew asks.

"Truth."

"Is it true that your favorite color is pink?"

"Okay Mia, that question was really dry," Finn says before kneeling before me and grabbing hold of both of my hands. "Kay-la, do you love me?" he sings horribly and I smile.

"Of course I love you, baby!" I exclaim and he hugs me once he stood up.

Short people problem number one: When someone hugs you and your feet leave the ground and you start freaking out.

That's what's going on right now.

Finn chuckles before setting me down. "Jace, truth or dare?"

"Truth."

"Why do y'all have to copy each other," Kehlani asks but she seems amused.

"Because they're just the cutest couple ever," Laila coos and Jace and I both roll our eyes.

"Chill y'all. Okay, if there was an earthquake or a hurricane or some other type of natural disaster shit, who would you save?" Mia asks.

Not even ten seconds later Jace responds, "Kayla."

I smile and Finn gasps, placing a hand over his heart. "Six years. Six years and this is how you repay me."

"Jordan, truth or dare?" Jace asks after rolling his eyes at Finn.

"Dare," he rubs his hands together.

Note that we're now walking around the supermarket. "I dare you to propose to the first girl you see in the toy isle."

The eight of us all make our way to the toy isle after Jordan bought one of those fake rings from those candy/toy dispenser things for twenty five cents. We spot a girl who looks probably maybe twenty or so with waist length black hair and striking blue eyes, wearing a long burgundy sun dress that clashed well with her caremel tone at the end of the isle. She was obviously beautiful.

I could see the nervousness in Laila's eyes as Jordan made his way down to her and we all watch from a distance. He gets on one knee and pops out his twenty five scent ring amd the girl looks at him uninterested. She says a few words before Jordan nods and stands up, now looking down at her considering he was at least five inches taller.

They conversed a bit and I can see them both smiling as they talk. "What do you think they're talking about?" Laila asks.

I shrug, "I don't know." They seem to have exchanged numbers before she walks off and goes to another isle and he comes back over to us with a smile after they hug.

"What happened?" Kehlani asks.

"She's into girls. Wasn't interested," he shrugs with a smile.

"Then why'd you get her number?" Judging from Laila's tone, she sounded jealous.

"She saw how y'all were all watching and said that you were pretty so I got her number for you."

"But she likes girls."

"Yeah, so–oh, I totally see the problem now," he says and we all began to laugh. We spent the next few hours just laughing and talking non stop. The game wasn't even truth or dare anymore, just dare.

"Kayla, I dare you to go over there and sing whatever song is playing," Jace points to a karaoke machine that was open to anyone but was obviously for sale.

I pout, "Jace, you know how nervous I get."

"Mikayla," he warns before hugging me. "You have a great voice, I believe in you." He whispers and it's like at his words, all the nerves just completely disappeared and filled my mind with confidence.

I nod and we release. He pecked my forehead and I walk slowly towards the karaoke set, taking deep breaths and realizing it was playing a mash up of different songs.

"I found a love," I began, closing my eyes tightly because my friends stares were basically bleeding though me. "For me. So darling, just dive right in. Follow my lead. I found a boy. Beautiful and sweet. I never knew you were the someone, waiting for me," the song then changes, almost making me mess up but I quickly recover.

"Cause wise men say, only fools rush in. But I can't–we were just kids when we fell in love, not knowing what it was. I will not give you up this time..."

The song eventually ends and I sigh in relief, placing the mic on the stand and that's when I notice the crowds of people around me. They all start cheering and clapping, some even throwing money and I just smile in shock.

Jace runs up to me and hugs me, my feet lifted from the ground of course, "You did it," he whispers.

The songs are Perfect by Ed Sheeran and Can't Help Falling In Love by Elvis Presley. I think I'll have them do a duo in public soon...
