I open the door and a smile splatters on my face. "Quinyyyyy!"

I jump up on him and he swiftly catches me, his body vibrating as he laughed. "Hey baby cuz."

"First of all," I jump down. "I'm older than you."

He rolls his eyes, "By a week."

"Still older," I smirk. "Why are you here?"

"Summer started today. I just thought I'd swing by and stay the night," he shrugs. "Your parents didn't tell you?"

I shake my head and close the door after he walks in. "No. But then again, my parents don't tell me jack diddly squat." I sit down on the couch cross legged. "But I'm going to Jace's house later tonight."

"Oh, cool. I'll come too," he leans back and even pulls up the little leg rest thing on the couch.

My eyes widen. "Oh no you won't. We're having a movie night."

"So I can't come?" He leans toward me. "You're watching a movie, so I can't come?"

I nod. "Yes, Quinton."

"What movie y'all watching? It better be rated E."

I bust out laughing at that. "Highschool Musical."

"Oh, uh uh," he shakes his head. "That's rated thirteen."

"Boy, please. I can choose what I want to watch."

"And why are y'all watching that shit, anyway? We used to watch that everyday growing up."

I smile. "Because Jace hasn't seen any of the movies."

His eyes widen. "Not even one."

I shook my head. "Nope," I pop the p.

"Okay. You can go. For so long as I can drop you there."

I stood and pull up my jeans. "That's fine."

"What time you going?"

"Um, at seven."

He nods and I take that as my cue to leave. I enter my room and I don't know what directed my eyes to it but I am easily able to see the neatly folded note layed on my pillow.

Sneaking into Mikayla's house was easier than I thought. And when X said it was easy, I didn't know it would be this easy. All I had to do was climb up on the balcony and everything was a piece on cake from there.

I sigh once I'm finally up on the balcony before tying up my hair in a ponytail and adjusting my mask back on.

I pick the lock easily before slipping through the slightly opened door. One thing I didn't do right was forget to wear my gloves. I quickly grab a baby wipe from my bag and thoroughly wipe the knob before walking into the room and placing on my gloves.

I open her little Notebook on her desk, the book she's kept as sacred since her grandmother passed away. Blah, blah, blah.

I tear a page and grab the pen and write:

Heard about you're little party.

Dress nice.

- X

X is lucky I'm doing this favor for him. Usually, I never would've but I've just made an exception for the idiot.

I fold the note and place it down on her pillow. "Meh, why let the fun stop here?" I ask myself.

I'm talking to myself.

How sad has my life become?

I laugh and grab her book, shoving it in my bag. I pull out the coat hook from my bag and stick it on the threshold of the door before quickly hurrying off and back into the car.
