I walk into her room, finding her seated on her bed, looking through some diary. She looks up at me excitedly. "Did you do it?"

I sigh and shake my head, sitting beside her. "I couldn't."

"Why didn't you, you idiot?!" She thumps me.

"Did you really want it to kill him?"

She shook her head. "No, of course not. That's why you were supposed to set it off when he wasn't in the car. But it would've at least have been fun to see him in pain," she shrugs.

I roll my eyes. "Sometimes, I wonder why I'm doing this for you."

"Sometimes, I wonder why parents put their children in your care. You know why you're doing it. You want the money and the small reward you're planning out to get from Mikayla."

"Well, yeah but...do you really want her to die? Do you want anyone to die?"

She shakes her head. "Of course not. I just love seeing people suffer. There would be no enjoyment if they were just laying six feet under alone, would there?."

Her laughter fills the room. She was crazy, but I loved her. No matter what she did and what she does. Even the age difference doesn't matter to me. I still love her. I crawl over and peck her lips.

She pushed me off. "Ew! Save that for Mikayla though, that was good," she congratulates me.

Only thing is, I didn't want to do things to Mikayla.

I was just doing bad things to the one who destroyed the one I love.

"I don't know. What do you even wear to a graduation party?" I walk back over to my desk where my phone was propped up. I was on a facetime call with Jace.

"I don't know, either. Just dress casual, I guess. Dress in a way that will get the caller's attention but not too much."

"Why?" I chuckle. "Cause this is all yours?"

He smiles brightly. "Nice to know we're on the same team."

I laugh. "See you in a bit."

"Cool. Bye love."

"Byyyyyeeee."

I cut the call and lay my phone flat on my desk. Something was off about it. My desk. Like something was missing or something. But something just seemed...out of place.

I just shrug it off and walk over to my closet, pulling out random clothes. I change and lace up some white sneakers, put on some hoop earrings and a necklace, and let my hair be my hair after parting it down the middle.

The doorbell rang awhile afterward and I shove my phone in my back pocket before heading down to answer. Jace stood there in a camo shirt and jeans.

Smiling, I jump up on him and just hug him. I haven't seen Daddy in a week. What more having to separate for college, soon? "I missed you, baby," I say in the crook of his neck.

He chuckles. "I missed you too." I peck his neck and jump down. "What are you wearing?"

I shrug. "I don't know. I just grabbed random clothes. You said," I point at my shorts, "something that will attract attention," I point at my shirt, "but not too much."

He laughs and we walk down to his car before getting in. "Okay then."

We got to his house a short while later. I swear, everytime they throw a party here it looks a billion and one times more different than what the house actually looks like. A banner that read Happy Birthday Zayn was hung on the door but we all know this will be more than just a birthday celebration.

I'm gonna miss my brother, though. Him and Kaitlyn are both going to New York for school which is hella far. As much as I don't like Zayn, I love the boy to death and I forever wish only the best for him.

"Can I get a drink?!" I yell in Jace's ear. The music was hella loud. I thought my eardrums would just scurry off. The party was supposed to start at nine but it's only seven forty and people are already getting turnt.

He grabs onto my waist. "Stick with me!" I nod and we both walk through the crowds of people and into the kitchen. Luckily, it was empty.

I sat up on the island as he dug through the fridge. "Are you as nervous as I am?" I question. Today could be a relief and we can finally find out who this bastard is or it can go completely wrong and we'll only get more lost in this torment.

He chuckles, handing me a Sunny D. "Bae, you can't possibly be as nervous as me."

I open the drink and swig the whole thing down in one take.

"Woah!" Jace chuckled, grabbing the one tenth of juice away from me.

I wipe my mouth with my wrist. "I don't know, Jace. Maybe this was a mistake?"

He shook his head before grabbing onto both of my hands. "Baby, I know you're scared. But nothing bad will happen to you. Alright? I'm gonna be right here."

I only nod.

Connor walks in wearing this black hoodie and dark jeans.

"Connor!" I cheer, jumping up off the island and hugging him. He went out of town with his family so we haven't seen him in a week.

He laughs and hugs me back before we release. "Hey. How've you been?"

"Okay, I guess," I shrug. "You?"

He looks past me, looking toward Jace. They both had unknown looks on their faces.

I furrow my brows. "Is something going on between the two of you?" I question.

Jace shook his head and Connor looks down at his shoes. "Nothing at all."

I pull out of Jace's grip. He's been holding onto me the whole night. Making sure I didn't get hurt or anything. I think it was cute but, whatever. "I'm gonna go to the bathroom!"

He nods, pecking my forehead. "I'll be right here."

I nod before going through the crowds of people to get to the foyer, before heading up the stairs. It seemed like no one was up here, luckily.

I enter the all white bathroom and close the door behind me. I didn't really need to use the restroom, I just needed time to refresh myself.

After opening the faucet, I begin to splash water all over my face. I grab the towel and wipe it, freezing at the sound of the door opening. I was so scared that I left the towel on my face.

My heart sped up at the sound of the lock. I slowly remove the towel and put it back on the rack, turning towards someone in a black hoodie and dark jeans, their dark curls sticking out from the mask.

I stand straight, creasing my brows. "Connor?"

They don't respond and only push me hard against the shower. The headache was horrible. He held me by the neck and I struggled to breathe before just kicking him right in the nuts.

He groans and backs up, holding his private area. I was hearing a ringing sound in my ears now. A sound that wouldn't go away. "Leave me alone because when this gets out to people, you better believe you're going to jail for life."

The guy chuckles as he stood up. An evil laugh, to be more specific. "You think I get caught? As, skilled and technical," he slams me into the shower again, this time harder, "as I am? Sweet little Mikayla," he gets closer to my ear, "I never get caught," he whispers.

I wanted to push him off but he did that for me by stepping back, and I fell to the ground unconcious.

The last thing I heard was a belt buckle.
