"So you come here like all of the time?" Connor asked as you walked down the crowded street together.
"Yeah I do, I first started going when I was like 3 with my mum and dad and I suppose it's just something that's stuck." You explained as you handed your ticket to the man who then let you in through the turnstiles.
"I bet you looked so cute coming here when you were younger." Connor smiled as you led him to the side of the rugby pitch.
"I looked adorable. I used to have my face painted as a full tiger and mum would dress me in a little rugby shirt and shorts. I used to be on the TV all of the time too. Mum would always record the games so she could watch them back and all of the commentators used to say how cute I looked." You laughed at the memory.
"I bet they still say how cute you are now, babe." Connor winked at you
"Trust me, when this game starts you won't think I'm cute at all" You warned him.
"I bet you look sexy when you're shouting for your team" He whispered in your ear while hugging you from behind as you blushed.
"I've never actually watched a rugby game before. Well actually I've seen a Rugby Union game, but never Rugby League. I suppose they aren't that different are they?" He asked as you turned around in his arms to face him.
"Connor, bless you. They're completely opposite. Don't say that too loud here you might get punched. People who watch rugby league HATE anything to do with rugby union" you explained to him, emphasising the word 'hate'.
"Well I'm not going to have any clue what's going on at all. I'll just take photos of the players and send them to James so he can compare himself to them" he laughed while pulling his phone out of his pocket just as the players ran onto the pitch.

"Clearly that was a forward pass, I could see that from here and it happened right in front of you! If you dare go to the video referee for that I'm suing. Oh and you are, how professional of you! No try, no try, no try. Look Connor, how forward was that?" You rambled while turning to Connor for his back up.
"Honestly Y/N I have no clue what any of the words you just said mean." He laughed as you shook your head at him.
"THANK YOU! No try because it was clearly a forward pass." You clapped as the players made their way back to their starting position. "Now they're offside, offside, offside. Finally he's noticed. Praise Jesus." You heard Connor chuckle from beside you. The game was pretty close and in 10 minutes it would be half time. "If we get a try in the next five minutes then that's good because they'll have more confidence in the second half then we could win, again." You explained to Connor who looked so lost.
"Babe, you really know a lot about this don't you."
"We'll yeah I sup- RUN! PASS! YES!" You shouted as your team scored a just as the hooter sounded to signal the end of the first half.
"Told you" you smiled at Connor who looked at you with his jaw dropped.
"Okay, Y/N, you have to explain the technical terms of this game because I really don't understand what you're saying." He laughed.
"Okay, so a forward pass is pretty self explanatory, you're supposed to pass the ball behind you and not in front and if you do then... Well it's bad. Offside is... well you know that from football, a scrum is just a huddle on the pitch where the ball gets put into the middle of, then taken back out again. In touch is where the player that has the ball puts his foot or any part of his body either on the thick white line on the side of the pitch, or over it. Then a high tackle is what it sounds like, the highest you can tackle is like the shoulders, anything above that is a high tackle." You explained. "Did that make sense?" You asked as Connor nodded as they started to play music to keep the crowd entertained during half time.
'I talk a lot of shhh when I'm drinking baby, I'm known to go a little too fast. Don't mind all of my friends I know they're all crazy, but they're the only friends that I have. I know I don't know you, but I'd like to skip the small talk and romance, girl. That's all I have to say so baby, can we dance?' You and Connor slowly turned to each other with wide smiles on both of your faces.
"THAT'S YOUR SONG!" You shouted as you jumped up and down.
"THAT'S MY SONG!" He shouted back as he hugged you tight.
"THEYRE PLAYING YOUR -MY- SONG!" You both shouted at the same time.
Connor held out his hand in front of you and you took it as you started dancing to his song, ignoring all of the strange looks you were getting from the drunk rugby supporters around you.
"Im so proud of you" you whispered in his ear as the song faded out.

The second half started soon after and Connor looked more excited for it to start than you did. It was a good second half in more ways than one, your team were playing towards the side that you and Connor were standing so you had a good view. Your prediction at the end of the first half was right as your team were scoring tries literally every ten minutes and after every try they scored Connor would turn to you and kiss you softly on the lips. You shared plenty of kisses in the second half and this time, it wasn't just you shouting, because now that Connor understood the rules of the game, he was shouting too.
"I'm so glad you asked me to come here with you today, Y/N, even if your team didn't win" Connor spoke softly into your ear as he hugged you from behind, while the clock read 2 minutes left and the scoreboard read 32-32.
"Me too, I'm so glad you sa-NO WAY! COME ON! PASS! PASS! YES! RUN! COME ON! YES!" You screamed as your favourite player scored the winning try right in front of you, giving you the ball to keep.
"I got the ball. He gave me the ball. My favourite player gave me the ball that he scored with! I can't believe it!" You smiled as you turned around and hugged Connor.
"That's not the only ball you have" Connor smiled at you, hugging you back.
"What do you mean?" What was he talking about? Nobody else had given you the match ball.
"Well you have that ball, and me, I'm a Ball. A Connor Ball" he smirked as you rested your head into his chest, laughing at him.
"You're such a loser" you laughed.
"But I'm your loser," he responded, linking your fingers together. "Now come on, lets get that ball signed" and he pulled you onto the pitch to get the ball signed buy the whole team.

QOTD: Which sports teams do you support?
AOTD: I only watch rugby league but I support two teams, an English team and an Australian team. The English team is Castleford Tigers because that's where I'm from and the Australian Team is Melbourne Storm, I don't know why, I just like them.
