I ship you with Brad and I love your hair so much, it's beautiful.
You were late. You weren't late to start with but just as you were about to leave the phone rang and you couldn't just ignore it, it could have been important.
It wasn't important. It was some family member that you haven't seen in years going in about how they haven't seen you in so long and how you all need to meet up. A bizarre and pointless phone call that seemed to go on forever. So now, you were late.
No matter what time it was though you had to have a coffee otherwise you wouldn't be able to function for the rest of the day. After ordering your drink, you took it from the counter and made a dash for the door, practically running down the street and to the building where your meeting was today.
You were an apprentice at a record label, your job was to update social media accounts as send out emails to people who had signed up to receive newsletters about signed bands and artists so you had to attend meetings with bands so you had all of the information, first hand.
You must have had some luck today because when you arrived at the board room you were the first one there so you had some time to prepare before everybody else arrived.
You had your pen, paper, laptop and camera out and just as you were pouring yourself a glass of water the door opened, and in walked the band accompanied by the rest of your team at the label.
'Oh shit.' You thought to yourself. When you were told that this meeting would be with a band that was well known you didn't expect this.
"Hi, I'm Tristan, this is Connor, that's Connor and the one who isn't here yet is Brad" Tristan smiled, reaching out to shake your hand. 'I know who you all are, I've dedicated three years of my life to you and your music' you thought to yourself.
"It's lovely to meet you, I'm y/n" you smiled, giving yourself a high five in your head for keeping so calm.
You all turned to sit around the table when the door flew open, revealing a very flustered boy in the doorway.
"It's about time, Brad." Joe laughed, turning to your boss to apologise for Brad's lateness.
"Sorry, I was running late and you know how I can't function without coffee so I had to quickly run to this cafe up the street and then there was this girl there with- oh" he stopped abruptly, looking down at the floor with a slight blush covering his cheeks.
"Sorry, hi, I'm Brad. It's nice to meet you" he smiled, rushing over to greet both you and your boss.
"Why did he stop talking when he saw me?" You leant over and whispered to your boss.
She smirked and turned to you. "Well, judging by the fact that you both have cups from the same coffee shop and you both kind of got here at the same time, I'd say he was about to describe you as the girl who distracted him." She whispered back, reaching out and pushing your chin up since your jaw had dropped open.
The meeting went well, you had a lot to post on social media regarding the outcomes and tons of information and photos for the newsletter but most importantly, you got to sit next to Brad, your favourite member, who you often caught staring at you.
"Ladies, thank you so much for your time this morning. We all look forward to working with you more in the future." "Some more than others." Joe mumbled the last part, looking over in Brad's direction to which he blurted out sounds of protest before blushing, yet again.
The boys and your boss left, leaving you to clear up your things from the table by yourself. As you placed your laptop in your bag, you heard the door open.
Looking up, you saw Brad leaning against the door frame and running his hands through his hair. He looked a little bit nervous and you wondered if he'd lost something in here.
"Hi Brad, are you alright?" You smiled at him and he pushed himself off of the door frame and made his way over to you.
"Yeah I just forgot something" he mumbled, walking around the table.
"Oh, well I can help you look for it if you want. What did it look like?" You asked, starting to move the chairs from under the table to look for whatever it was he had forgotten.
"Oh, it wasn't a thing, it was a question. To you. I wanted to ask you something, but I forgot to ask you" he explained.
"Oh, well fire away I'm sure I'll be able to answer it" you smiled, taking out your notebook in case it was about something that had been discussed near the beginning of the meeting.
"I don't think you'll need your notebook to answer it" he started, teaching forward to take your book and place it on the table. "Okay, I'll just get straight to it, I think your beautiful and you're really passionate about your job, which I love and you seem so friendly and you have good taste in coffee shops" he laughed, holding his empty cup next to your identical one. "So, I was wondering if you'd like to go back to that coffee shop, with me, together, like on a date?" He asked, looking down at his feet.
You reached forward and took his face in your hands, forcing him to look up at you. "I'd love to" you smiled, watching his face light up.
"Oh thank god." He sighed, taking your hand and leading you to the small café.
