"Write about your 21st birthday."

My twenty first birthday was a very quiet one, only with family, I think it was the quietest one in those years where we were used to celebrating birthdays with rambunctious parties. Mom baked a cake, that I do remember and she must have made my favourite foodstuffs too, though I do not recall them. I think I have a couple of photos of that occasion but for one which is supposedly meant to be a landmark, I have no mementos or memorabilia, only my memory.
But then again, each birthday is a cause for celebration, though the way we celebrate each one varies, depending on how life has treated us between birthdays.
