"Write about taking a gamble on something."
I think the prompt was literal or partly metaphorical but I am going philosophical (suitable, considering that it is close to the date changing time, which under different circumstances could be the Cinderella moment or the bewitching hour).
But to get to the point, life is a gamble and everything thing we do or do not do is a risk, it could be minuscule, could be life altering or world changing, it could be mundane or routine,but everything is a risk. Some conscious, some reflexive, some planned and yet others spontaneous, but each act of ours is a risk.
