"Write a story or poem that uses ladders as a symbol"
_____________________________________
Oh, for a ladder tall and high
I could use it to climb to the sky,
Reach for the stars and pluck a few
Sparkly and shiny, to give to you.
If I had a ladder long and tall,
I could climb without a fall
Gather the clouds, fluffy and white
To weave you a dress, soft and bright
if I had a ladder tall and strong,
I would catch a few birds of song,
They would sing of joy and sorrow
Songs of sad past and hopeful morrow
A simple ladder, tall and steep,
And over the earth, I would leap;
The colours of the rainbow I would take
A crown of jewels, for you, I'd make.
