"Write a poem or journal entry that is all about things you are thankful for."
_________________________________________
A fitting prompt for the last post of this year and for this book too. There are a lot of things I am thankful and what I recall might not even complete the list of things I should be grateful for.
☆My family and my friends (school, college and the lovely souls I have been fortunate to meet online);
☆The job that I do - it could be frustrating and is fun at times, but then it does give me something to do, daily as well as allows me to be financially independent;
☆The story ideas that tumble in my head, they could be ghostly, ghastly, refusing to be put on paper, turn out to be bad when written, at times my fingers ache because I cannot stop writing, but still, they are my passion and at times keep me sane and grounded
☆Having a house and a home to go to
☆Blessed with a reasonable health, I am asthmatic and over the last two years, it has been a constant companion but I would still consider myself to be quite healthy for I have been been able to lead a normal life despite being breathless and having to compromise on some things (I am allergic to some foods and too much of physical exertion would lead to an attack)
There are definitely more but these are the few things I am always grateful for and make it point to be thankful for, on a daily basis. I think we should make it a daily habit to be grateful and it brings to mind this question that I read a couple of years ago:
Makes you think, does it not?
