"Write about someone you miss."

'Miss you', whether spoken or not, expressed or hidden, this is a sentiment that rules every sentient being, be it man or animal (scientific community is partly divided on whether plants can feel emotions, despite having chemical reactions to external stimuli).
At some stage or at every stage, we miss someone - parents, friends, siblings, children, acquaintances. Missing is not limited to people, we miss time gone by, a way of life, an ease of living, or being able to relax. We miss future possibilities when young and miss lost opportunities when old. We miss what we do not have and miss what we have lost. Our lives seem to be one long stretch of missing, days when we miss the night and nights when we miss the light. We miss those who have left us with a deep ache and miss those whom we have left behind.
Sometimes, all we do is to miss and not live or maybe to live is to miss.
