"Write a tribute to someone you regard as a hero."
_______________________________________
I wonder what you, the rare reader, would think of this prompt? Who do you expect me to write about? Who do you think my hero would be?
I know the usual possibilities - parents / friends/ teachers/mentors, people whose stories have inspired us though we have never met them.
Heroes come in all shapes and sizes.
My hero is not a single entity, in fact,I do not know the exact count of the numbers that make up my hero (it should be heroes, but let us not get into the semantics). They, whom I refer to as collectively, keep changing in quantum but never in inspiration. They leave me in awe, amazed and at times in envy. I will admit that they are not flawless yet they never fail to impress me. I admire their imagination and their ideas, at their commitment to the craft they obviously love, even if it a reflection of a person(s) they adore. Their ability to be regular, to spin their work, in spite of studies, work or families astounds me.
They are my inspiration; the light of their words help me write. They are my motivation for posting my stories. My fellow writers are my heroes.
