"Write about running away from someone or something."

Okay, this prompt involves some very personal happenings so maybe I will be less than truthful here. I have had my share of running away - at times is has worked out very well for it turned out to be like walking away from the bad things which was beneficial for me and my life. Sometimes it has only served to postpone the inevitable, made worse by the anxiety and fear that the waiting shrouds you in. And at times, it has enabled me to fight the circumstances in a better state of mind.
What i have learnt is the that running away is not always an act of cowardice at times it is a feat of bravery and at times it is a display of prudence. It brings to mind a tiny poem I read:
He who fights and runs away,
Lives to fight another day
But he who is at the battle slain
Never rises to fight again.
Makes you think, right? For sometimes running away is like stepping back, rethinking your options, revising your approach so that you fight your battle with renewed vigour or it could be that you are walking out of situation that does not deserve you.
Running away need not always be a bad thing, it is good, at times and necessary at others.
