"Write a poem about a time you really felt refreshed and renewed. Maybe it was a dip into a pool on a hot summer day, a drink of lemonade, or other situation that helped you relax and start again. "

Standing on a beach, miles of empty sand on both sides, the waves are a gentle roar as they softly crash into white foam on the invisible barrier; it is like watching a relentless battle, of the sea waters desperate to grasp the earth in an embrace, an eternal attempt that despite ending in the forceful waves to dissipate into bubbly nothingness, never ceases.
Watching the horizon, where in contrast to the watery battle, appears to be calm which is a lie. It is a silent cry, as the skies bend to caress the ocean; the varying tumultuous golden and black hues of the heavens, craving for the icy cold blue-greens of the ocean; and the only thing the ocean does is to trap the fleeting reflections of the sun and the moon.
Wondering, in the vastness that you are surrounded; where the earth and heavens are in conflict yet cosmos and chaos are in peace; do you, a tiny ephemeral creation with problems blown out of proportion, truly matter?
Cut down to proportion, you realise, you could matter, you might make a difference, but there is no problem which cannot be tackled, no difference that cannot be settled. Refreshed and rejuvenated, you walk away, to join the race called life.
