The Devils Contract [[JHS]] ✔️

FORTY-FIVE

Hana sat in the palace gardens with Sergeant Buttons beside her. His eyes were watching what was going on around them, making sure that Hana remained unharmed or disturbed. Even though there wasn't many demons wandering around, none of them were able to step too close to her, or they were scared away by Buttons.

Hana felt herself sigh and Buttons slapped her in the arm with his tail, making her smile slightly.

"You know" She said to Buttons "I'm glad Hoseok gave me you"

Buttons smacked her again and she threw her arms around his neck, making him huff. He leant into her as she snuggled closer to him. Hana liked how gentle he was with her and how comforting he smelt. She found it odd that a Hellhound could smell so nice, but his fur was always so clean. Apart from when he changed into the Hellhound that humans feared, but Hana still felt safe around him.

"Thank you for liking me back" Hana mumbled into his neck.

"Why are you talking to an animal?" Taehyung said making her jump. He sat down beside her and scratched Buttons' ear "I came to talk to you about something"

Hana nodded "What's up?"

"Do you really want to stay here? I mean, with Hoseok?" Taehyung asked.

"Of course I do" Hana said "I love him"

"Are you sure it's love or could it be a spell or something he used on you?"

Hana frowned at him "What are you talking about?"

Taehyung sighed "Hana, I still don't trust him. He's the devil. The king of Hell"

"And your point it?"

"How many times have you almost died because of him?" Taehyung said with a shrug "Before he came into your life, you were fine right?"

"Tae, I was locked away in my home for 3 years straight" Hana said "I saw my parents get brutally murdered in front of me. I was chased for what felt like hours until I got home and Namjoon ended up scaring me. Every night, I heard them circling my house trying to trick me into leaving"

"Yeah, but-"

"Being locked away for 3 years isn't fine" Hana sighed "So, please tell me how my life was fine before him"

"He's the devil Hana" Taehyung said "He's tricking you. I know he is. How can you trust the devil?"

Hana glared at him "He has done everything he can possibly do to keep me safe...to keep you safe. I don't know where all this has come from but-"

"He took me from my family without my permission!" Taehyung hissed "How is that keeping me safe?"

Hana sighed "I understand that. I really do, but if he could send you home then I'm sure he would"

"He won't. Because he likes to be in control. He likes that we are just his slaves" Taehyung got to his feet and clenched his fists "I may not have a great family, but he took me away by force and I am not fucking staying here anymore"

"Taehyung, you know-"

"I'd rather fucking die than stay in Hell with that piece of shit that just took my life away. If you believe that we will die in the human world, then you are just as stupid as he is" Taehyung said loudly "I don't know how you can think that you are even remotely in love with him. How can anyone love the devil? He's evil"

"He isn't as-"

"You are so stupid Hana" Taehyung sighed "I thought you were smarter, but you've just let Satan brainwash you"

Hana got to her feet "He has not brainwashed me"

"Do you really think that?" Taehyung shook his head "I wouldn't be surprised if him and his brother are in cahoots. How can they just escape from that prison? Cause what that stupid friend of his was saying, no one has escaped"

"Don't call Jimin stupid"

"You've let them control you" Taehyung said "Do you really think that they can protect you? Because I don't. They have brainwashed you. I'm certain of it"

"That's wrong"

"Hana, he was the reason your parents were murdered"

"He isn't!" Hana shouted and pushed Taehyung "You know that isn't true!"

"What's going on?" 

Taehyung and Hana looked up at the new voice. Hoseok stood beside Jimin and they were just watching what was going on. Jimin had his fists clenched whereas Hoseok looked relaxed, like he didn't care that he had heard Taehyung insult him.

"Are you going to answer?" Hoseok asked, folding his arms.

Taehyung scoffed "You are pathetic Hana. You'll end up just like your parents"

"You-" Jimin started but Hana lifted her hand to stop him "Miss Hana, you can't just-"

"Taehyung, I thought better of you" Hana said "After everything Hoseok and Jimin have done to keep you safe and welcome you into their world...you have just thrown it back in their face"

"I don't care" Taehyung glared at Hana "If anything, this is your fault"

"What?"

"If you hadn't tried to get your dead parents to help you, then I wouldn't be stuck in this god damn place" Taehyung said stepping towards her, and Buttons growled slightly "If anything, your parents would be rolling in their grave at how this has turned out"

"What is wrong with you?" Hana said in exasperation "Why the sudden change in mood? I don't understand!"

"Do you know something?" Taehyung smirked "Why didn't you succeed in killing yourself? Because if you did then-"

Hana punched him as hard as she possibly could, which seemed to be a lot harder than she had anticipated. Taehyung was knocked from his feet and he landed with a loud, painful thud. He groaned and grabbed his jaw, looking up at her with wide eyes.

"You bastard" Hana said, as calmly as she could "How dare you...how fucking dare you!"

"Hana" Hoseok said stepping in front of her "Please take a deep breath"

"No!" Hana screamed and went for Taehyung again "Does out friendship mean so little to you? It would be so much easier for me to just drop dead wouldn't it?"

"Hana"

"Taehyung, you fucking asshole!" She yelled and the floor shook beneath her "You are stuck here forever Taehyung and I will make sure that you will-"

"Y-you're on fire!" Taehyung said, shuffling away from her.

Hana looked down and a small scream of surprise forced its way from her lips. Her skin glowed and blue flames kissed their way around her skin, curling like a snake. A low hum moved through her body and she looked up at Hoseok with wide eyes.

"W-what is happening?" She whispered out.
