FORTY-ONE

Hana didn't take her eyes away from Bee, who was now on her knees bowing to her. Yoongi was watching them both, chewing his lip and Taehyung was trying to get Hana to stay in bed.

"Let me up Taehyung" Hana said firmly "It's what she wants"

"You can't just-" Yoongi started.

"Enough!" Hana snapped "She's right. If this is the rules of Hell, then she will-"

"I won't let you do that" Yoongi said "I will tie you to the fucking bed to stop you from-"

"Yoongi" Bee said "Let her up"

"You can't just die!"

"It's what I deserve. I failed the King and I failed Miss Hana" Bee said, not moving her head "This is the punishment all royal guards get, for letting down the royal name"

Hana held in a cry of pain as she forced herself from the bed. Her friends didn't help her wobble over to Bee so she used the bed for support. She took a few shaky steps before the pain subsided, and she couldn't move anymore. Her knees gave way and she dropped to the floor in front of Bee.

"Hana!" Taehyung said rushing to her side, but she held him away "Hana. You don't have to do this. You're going to be-"

"Shut up" Hana said, glaring at him "This has nothing to do with you"

Taehyung and Yoongi's eyes went wide as they saw red flash over her brown eyes, and they stepped away from her. Hana turned back to Bee and cleared her throat.

"Look at me" Hana said and Bee lifted her head "Look at me!"

"I can't Miss Hana" Bee said "I failed you. I don't deserve-"

"Look at me in the eye!" Hana said loudly and Bee quickly looked up "Don't ignore me"

"I...I'm sorry Miss Hana"

Hana sighed and the door opened, but she didn't bother to look to see who it was. Her body reacted to Hoseok even if she didn't lay eyes on him.

"Bee, what are you doing?" Jimin said "Get to your feet"

"No" Hana said "It's what she wants. It's the punishment for letting down the royal family. Right?"

"But...yes, Miss Hana"

"Then give me your knife"

Jimin didn't move, he just stared at Hana kneeling in front of Bee. He flicked his eyes to Hoseok who wore no expression. His eyes never left Hana.

"Jimin, give me your knife" Hana said again, holding her hand out "I won't ask again"

"Go ahead" Hoseok said "Give her your knife"

Jimin pulled it from its sheath and almost slammed it down into her hand. He took a step back and clenched his fists, before closing his eyes.

"You want to die for letting me down" Hana said pointing the knife at Bee "Is this what you want?"

"Yes Miss Hana" Bee said "Failing to protect you is punishable by death"

"Then I will kill you" Hana said moving the knife towards her "But here's the funny thing"

Bee frowned "Miss Hana...please just kill me"

"If that is what you want, because you failed the royal family. Then I will kill you" Hana said, but she turned the knife on herself "Bee, I'm not part of the royal family"

"But-"

Hana shook her head with a smile "I'm just a human. I'm not royal. I am just part of the Devils Contract"
