The sun beat down mercilessly despite the dense shade cast by the canopy of almost impossibly-tall trees surrounding you as your steps crunched atop fallen leaves and cracked branches on the dry forest floor while carrying a heavy pack across your shoulder. The strange man called Bakugou walked tirelessly in front of you, only bothering to slow down with a sneer when you called out that he was going too fast.

"You're so slow! I could probably move faster and carry my bag faster than you," he bit out over his shoulder, face mostly obscured by the feathery fur lining the top of his cape. You weren't exactly used to carrying heavy equipment, but you were trying your best to keep up.

Pausing for a moment to wipe a bead of sweat from your brow you adjusted the bag on your back, paranoid that your grip might slip as perspiration formed between your palms and the dirty fabric. "Sorry," you said with furrowed brow. "Seems like you know where you're going, but are we close to wherever you're leading me?" That stray thought of following a total stranger who carried a very sharp sword at his side into unfamiliar woods made your throat clench with worried paranoia; you might end up on some news station later as the dumbass who got yourself killed by doing everything they told you NOT to do in school.

Bakugo clicked his tongue in annoyance. "Just keep walkin'. Not my fault you're dressed like shit for travel in those weird clothes."

"I wasn't exactly planning on- AH!" You were interrupted as a sudden burst of movement jumped out in front of the two of you, a blur of red blocking your path. Bakugou didn't even flinch.

"Oi oi! Took you long enough!"

And that's when you screamed.

Without hesitation you dropped his bag and turned around, nearly tripping over a fallen tree trunk in the process before hastily hiding behind another tree, wild panic, fear, and confusion winding through your brain as it attempted to process what you'd just seen. A low and guttural roar made you flinch. This couldn't be real it wasn't real there's no way...no way!

"Hey, packmule! Get the hell back here!" Bakugo demanded, but your fear of trying to comprehend the impossible overshadowed your fear of the wild man with the sword. A bizarre noise echoed in the forest for a moment before you heard a new, unfamiliar voice.

"Bakugo! Sorry I got distracted on the way back...was that a person following you? Oh man, did I scare 'em? HEY, YOU! IT'S OK I'M NOT-"

"Shut up, you moron!"

All you could hear now was bickering back and forth between Bakugo and this new person, but you remained still behind the thick tree. Maybe this was a dream...a very weird, lucid dream. The sound of dry brush under heavy boots caught your attention as Bakugo rounded the tree to stare at you with agitation and a quirked brow.

"Coward. Dragon folk ain't as scary as people think, at least not Kirishima. He just looks tough when he wants to or I tell him to...hey, you hear me?" The shocked look on your face must have confused him, as if his explanation was routine and nothing out of the ordinary.

"D-dragon...dragon?!" was all you managed to say at his confirmation that you weren't crazy.

"Did I stutter, packmule? C'mon I don't have all day!" With that he grabbed you by the wrist and dragged you out from behind the tree. His hand was warm and sweaty, warmer than you thought was healthy, honestly. You expected to see the large red dragon from a few minutes ago but instead a man with spikey red hair and similar clothing to Bakugo stood with wide, curious eyes. The only indication that he might not be human was his sharp teeth.

"They're dressed weird...what kinda pants are those? Did you just grab them up on the road?" the new addition asked while you were reluctantly pulled towards him by Bakugo. He leaned down and picked up his dropped pack with a glare in your direction.
