People wanted a part two, and dammit I try and give the people what they want!

Bakugo became disgustingly familiar with the hotel room interior over the next couple of weeks. Hit routine consisted of the predictable trudge of going on patrol, kicking villain ass, and going back to his temporary home. The entire time his attitude fluctuated between pissed off an apathetic, a distinct shift from the personality his friends knew.

Even though he'd blocked his ex's number, they still tried to contact him through social media and his hero office, attempting to make it past security to "just talk." Luckily Bakugo was adamant about cutting them out his life after what happened, despite the slow ache of his heart as he came to accept the fact that he could never go back. His friends and coworkers - you included - kept his mind occupied in the meantime.

"When can I move in?" Bakugo asked the apartment manager after touring the buildings. He was picky, but this place was far away from his old one, and that sounded fucking perfect to him right now in a way that made him overlook a couple of flaws. It wasn't a shithole by any means, though; he had the funds to afford a bit of luxury, just for himself, and that also sounded fucking perfect.

"We can email you the lease and paperwork as soon as tomorrow. From there we can set a move in date," she replied while leading him out of the main office. "Please let us know if you have any questions."

He liked the place and the meaning behind it: a new start to move forward. His friends could help him move in and pick out new furniture, because even though half of what he left behind was his, there was zero chance of going back into that apartment full of tainted memories.

Thanking his friends properly needed to be higher up on his priority list, you especially. Going through good days and bad days was hard enough, but if he felt like a particularly smelly pile of self-deprecating shit that day, a text was all it took for you to come by and lift his mood. Kirishima was great a pep talks, but couldn't dig into some of the deeper emotional hurt Bakugo was trying to get over.

When move in day finally came Bakugo was over the damn moon to be able to have an actual kitchen again, and a bedroom that wasn't in the same space as the TV. Kirishima and the others were at the new place waiting on the furniture to be delivered while you and Bakugo shoved the remaining boxes of his personal items into your car in front of the hotel.

"Why do you have so much shit," you joked while struggling to close the back door on the last box.

"Shut up! Don't complain I'm giving you all free pizza when this shit is over with," Bakugo said while coming out of the hotel to turn in his key. He was just about to open up the front passenger door when a familiar voice called out to them.

Their voice.

Turning his head around he saw them running towards him from the street, the first time he'd seen them since grabbing up his things and leaving without a word. He could feel his shoulder immediately tense and the muscles in his palms twitch.

"Oh, shit..." you mumbled while seeing what was happening, eyes darting between Bakugo's fixated stare and his ex running towards the both of you.

"I...I caught you," they said out of breath and coming to a stop by the car. "Please, Katsuki. I just need to talk to you. I know I genuinely fucked up, I know, but just...just talk with me for a minute. Please?" Their voice echoed a pleading tone, and Bakugo was transfixed as if unsure of what he should do. Scrutinizing this intruder you immediately noticed their eyes were cold, and didn't match the tone or words being laid out in the open.

When Bakugo moved to face them, you stepped in-between.

"Hey," you said while staring at them. They tried to look around you towards Bakugo, but you moved to block their view. "Literally? Fuck off. He's done with you. We figured the blocked calls and you being banned from entering the hero agency would be an obvious sign."

"This isn't any of your business," they grit out with a hint of malice before correcting the behavior and switching quickly back to begging Bakugo to come with them.

"(Y/N)," Bakugo started, but you interrupted.

"Isn't my business?" you argued. "Bakugo's well being is my business, is the business of his friends! You trying to blame him for your own shitty actions is some next level manipulative bullshit, so don't even start." They looked taken aback at your outburst but didn't move. "I have his best interests at heart, and I want Bakugo to be happy above all else, and by my calculations that happiness doesn't involve someone who has eyes like cold rocks. Your fake ass emotions aren't wanted so go away."

They stammered before trying to look past you again. "Katsuki! Are you hearing how they're talking about me?! You should-"

"I should fucking toss you out of this parking lot before I get too pissed off," came a gravely voice from behind you as Bakugo stepped out in front and glared them down. His resolve had returned with your little speech.

"W-what?" they mumbled while Bakugo's fiery eyes burned into them.

"GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME!" he screamed. "Don't contact me, leave me the fuck alone. We're done, permanently. And don't you fucking talk to (y/n) like I would go defending our ass against anything. Get out of my face. It's pathetic to see you beg like a dog," he growled in one last jab to their ego.

They stood there with a mixture of shock and anger before issuing one final reply. "Fine! Your loss! Don't come crawling back to me when you're lonely." With that they turned around and stalked off. It wasn't until they were out of sight that Bakugo finally turned around to face you, shoulders deflating slightly from the outburst.

"Holy shit...you OK?" you asked. Honestly he looked fine - relieved, even - but you had to make sure.

He hummed before looking into your eyes with a bit of softness you'd seen only on rare occasions. "You mean all that crap you said?"

"Uh...wh- yeah, yeah of course I did. You're my friend and I'm not gonna let someone who hurt you try and pull some shady shit to guilt you into trying to talk. I mean, we are moving you into your new place literally right now, so I'll be damned if-"

But you were cut off as Bakugo moved forward with a quick step to smash his chapped lips against yours. He was so close and his scent invaded your nose and overloaded your brain all in one fell swoop. After a moment he pulled away looking only mildly apologetic.

"Fuck...I should've-"

But you cut him off as you pulled him back in, something you'd only dreamed of doing for years. Making out against the side of your car had probably been a dream, too, at some point.

"Well, uh...that was unexpected, but I'm not complaining," you laughed while still holding onto his shirt.

"I was such a fucking idiot," Bakugo said, not bothering to move away. "But I'm tired, the movers are waiting, and Kirishima is gonna complain about pizza soon, so we can chat about all this shit tonight. I owe you, anyway, so you're in no position to turn me down."

How could you possibly turned down Bakugo Katsuki when he was leaned up against you close enough for his breath to ghost across your lips still stained with his taste? Short answer: you couldn't. Less short answer: you never wanted to now that you had him all to yourself. And that sounded so deliciously wonderful.
