It was just supposed to be a casual evening together, nothing too special...except for the fact that Todoroki was spending the night at your place for the first time since the two of you started dating. Movies, snacks, catching up on the missed details of the week when the two of you were so busy with school and training. It sounded...nice, if not a little nerve-wracking.

Both of you knew that spending the nice at his father's house was out of the question. If he could help it he'd never let you meet Endeavor.

Todoroki knocked on your door with several bags hanging from his hand.

"...coming COMING!" he heard you call from inside before you quickly opened the door. You looked comfortable, already dressed in pajamas, with a big smile on your face. "Hey, Shouto. Hope it wasn't too hard to find."

He shook his head. "No, I followed the map," as though that as the most logical way to do things. Stepping inside you closed the door behind him.

"Let's put this stuff in the kitchen and then I can give you the tour! It's not much, but it's home, ya know? And...I guess, my home can be your home too if you want it to be. You can always come over."

In that moment he really wanted you to meet his mom but figured it might not be the right time to bring it up.

You ushered him through the house, pointing out the bathrooms, where everything in the kitchen belonged, the living room with sprawling furniture that looked passed-down from at least one generation, your parents' bedroom (restricted access) and, finally, your room.

"Do you want to watch movies in the living room or in your room?" he asked without thinking too much about the question. Maybe you preferred the larger TV over the comfort of your bed, or vice-versa.

You stumbled over your words a bit before answer. "Well, my parents are out on a date night so they won't be back until late, probably...so how about the living room so we won't be stuck in my room all evening?"

Shouto acknowledged your answer with a nod before heading back towards the kitchen. "I haven't made kettle corn since I was small...you might have to help me."

You always jumped at the chance to help him make new memories. He was a bit of a messy cook but eventually, the two of you got there.

Settled in on the couch with snacks and a movie popped into the DVD player you grabbed a blanket and put it over the two of you. Shouto had a habit of making things the perfect temperature around him by adjusting his quirk slightly: if things were too hot he'd cool it down, and vice versa. It made him the perfect cuddle buddy.

Every time Shouto pointed out something in the movie that made no sense in that stoic voice of his it made you laugh. There were those rare occasions that something really tipped him over the edge, but they were few and far between.

After movies and snacks and joking around and a bit of cuddling Shouto started to yawn and you felt infected by his contagious yawning. "Bedtime?"

"Bed," was all he said, stepping up from the couch and practically tripping over the blanket in the process.

When the two of you finished your nightly routines you led him into your room, nerves bubbling in your stomach. It wasn't a big deal, right? You shared a bed with friends when you were little, so this was just...uh...different! With someone you really cared about, and-

"Hey," he said, snapping you out of your imagination. "It's OK. You say I'm good at cuddling but I don't always believe you. Practice makes perfect though, right?"

You just nodded in the darkness as the two of you settled under the cool sheets of your bed. His hands differed in temperature slightly, one slightly cooler than the other, but you didn't mind.

His face was just inches from yours when he spoke. "You smell nice." It was a statement, simple and direct, but it was so...him. He went by observation and could come off as intentionally cold to some, but in moments like these you knew his warmth, too.
