Dear Boo,
I've had some really good feedback on my book, along with some constructive criticism.
I just got a review that wasn't so good. They pretty much told me my book and characters were disappointing. I didn't think so but, of course, I went back and read my book. I tried to set away my own bias.
The feedback wasn't very helpful in telling me what I should fix. So, I don't know where to start.
I feel like I've lost my inspiration to write my next chapter because I think no one will like it. So what's the point?
I don't know, my confidence had dropped significantly and I feel like everything I write is garbage.
Any advice?
Sincerely,
Becca*

Dear Becca*,
I remember judging your story before for an awards. It's been five or six months ago. I remembered you scored high, but don't remember the exact score. At the end of my answer to you letter I will review your first five chapters, just as I do in my own personal review book.
The most important tip is — write for yourself!
Write something you love and would read if someone else wrote it. If you write with confidence and love it, others will as well.
Wattpad is full or readers and writers so start getting your book out there! Share it all the time on your mb. Follow new people so they can come in contact with your book. When someone new follows me I include a thank you as well as ask them to read my works. Sign up for book awards and clubs to get your book out to more readers.
There will always be haters no matter what you do honey. Look at the 50 Shades Of Grey books. EL James makes insane amount of money and everything else. But, she still has haters.
Remember, those who review usually review by their feelings. If they have a bad day, they will give a bad review. Many famous authors had negative feedback before exploding onto the writing scene.
Don't let this stop you from writing. You're a great author! Continue writing and following your dream.
Remember there is a difference between constructive criticism and a personal review. That is bad like this one you received. Constructive criticism helps author's where they need it. An attack through a review is flat out rude.
I have reviewed many books and even if it needs a lot of work, I am never rude.
Everyone has their own opinion but no one should be a rude ass. Keep writing and don't let anyone steal your shine. You may take two step forward and one step back, but as long as you don't give up, haters can't win!
Here is my personal review for your book. I won't include the title because that works give your identify away.
Cover: 4/5- The cover is attention grabbing, but it doesn't relate with the book. Try making a cover, or have one made, that represents your plot and characters. Many people judge a book by its cover, it's sad but true.
Description: 10/10- Your description is great. It's very informative and pulls readers in.
Grammar & Punctuation: 17.5/20- Some of the dialogue needs a comma, instead of a period. [example: "Charmed." She replied. This should be: “Charmed,” she replied. ]
Also, notice use (“ ”) instead (" ")! The curved quotation marks look better. There are a few punctuation mistakes, here and there. A couple of the long paragraphs need split into two paragraphs. When beginning a new chapter, make sure to include a dialogue tag. (See chapter 3) Your grammar is rather good.
