Long story short, I want to get into the k pop industry. I want to do this, but I don't know how my parents will deal with it.
My mom said she wants me to be successful in any way that makes me happy. But I haven't brought up doing K pop.
I'll miss my parents, but this is my dream.

You said it yourself! This is YOUR DREAM! Always follow your dreams, they come from your heart.
Your mom wants you to be successful in ANYTHING you want to do. Meaning literally, anything!
As a mom, we want our children to be happy and follow their hearts. Of course you'll miss your parents, but there will be a time when you're supposed to venture away from your parents to find your own life. Joy can always visit and write them. Plus there is video chats as well.
Only you know where your heart is leading you. Follow that dream sweetheart. You will never know the outcome if you don't try. Definitely get an education first. Then go after your dream life.
Start writing your songs, start imagining in your mind your dance moves. Find support groups online and you will find other people who have the same dream as you.
Take that first step and prepare. Then crush it like nobody else! You can do anything you set your mind to love, just don't give up.
Remember that MANY recording artists were shot down before finally getting that big break. Just don't give up!
Look into talent shows in your area, even try for The Voice. You never know until you try.
